Chesapeake Beach Area


EIGHTH ST., 5:20 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 17. Cash was stolen from a residence.

MEADOW LANE, June 16. A MerCruiser outboard motor was stolen from a boat.

Dunkirk Area


ROUTE 4, 4:01 p.m. June 18. A purse was stolen from an unattended shopping cart at Safeway.

ROUTE 4, June 12. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Safeway parking lot.

Lusby Area


CLUBHOUSE DR., 9:57 p.m. June 13. A man, 52, attempted to hit a Chesapeake Ranch Estates security officer. He was charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and driving under the influence.


RIO GRANDE TRAIL, June 18. A bicycle was stolen from a yard at a residence.

WHITE SANDS DR., 11 a.m. June 14. Two boys attempted to forcibly enter a garage at a residence.


WHITE SANDS DR., June 17. A recreational vehicle's window was broken.

Owings Area


CHANEYVILLE RD., 9:27 p.m. June 18. A youth, 16, punched the bed of a truck and dented it. The youth was charged with destruction of property.

Port Republic Area


BROOMES ISLAND RD., June 16. An attempt was made to forcibly enter the garage of a house under construction.

Prince Frederick Area


HALLOWING POINT RD., 8 a.m. to noon June 8. An air conditioner was stolen from the window of a residence.

Solomons Area


ROUTE 2/4, 11:15 a.m. June 15. A man parked his truck at the Food Lion at Solomons Town Center and returned to find that a green substance had been poured on the vehicle's floor. The substance made his eyes burn, and he had difficulty breathing. A hazmat team responded. The area around the truck was decontaminated and the truck was towed to the sheriff's office impound lot for decontamination.

ROUTE 2, 8 to 11 p.m. June 10. A rock was used to damage a vehicle parked on the road.

CHAPEL POINT RD., 8:22 p.m. June 16. KKK was spray-painted on the street.

Indian Head Area


KENNETH CT., 1000 block, 5:25 p.m. June 15. A woman, 37, assaulted a man, 41, at a residence. She was charged with first- and second-degree assault.


MATTAWOMAN CT., 4:30 p.m. June 16. KKK and other obscene graffiti were spray-painted on the street.

La Plata Area


MORRIS DR., 100 block, 8:06 p.m. June 18. A man, 47, fired shots at a woman at a residence. The woman fled. The man barricaded himself inside the residence and fired more shots. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Waldorf Area


CRAIN HWY., 2300 block, 11:11 p.m. June 17. Outside a Burger King restaurant, two robbers approached an employee who was dumping trash and ordered him back inside the restaurant. They locked him and other employees in the freezer and stole cash, then fled on foot.

POST OFFICE RD. AND COPELY AVE., 2:15 a.m. June 18. Two armed robbers stole personal items from a girl, 15, and a man, 20, and fled.


HOMESTEAD PL., 11900 block, 9 p.m. June 15 to 7 a.m. June 16. A vehicle's window was broken. A lock was also tampered with.


SANDWICH CT., midnight to 6:15 a.m. June 20. Racist graffiti were spray-painted on the road.


HOMESTEAD CT., 2400 block, 1:30 to 7 a.m. June 16. A vehicle was stolen from a residence.

California Area


LAUREL GLEN, June 17. Items were stolen from vehicles in the Laurel Glen area. A man, 26, was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony theft.

THREE NOTCH RD., 3:30 p.m. June 8. Someone left the Sheetz gas station without paying for gas.


CALIFORNIA, June 18. A vehicle's windows were broken.

Great Mills Area


GREAT MILLS, 7:52 p.m. June 8. A man, 46, and a woman, 43, assaulted each other. They were charged with domestic assault.

Hermanville Area


HERMANVILLE, June 19. A man, 44, hit a woman in the face. He was charged with second-degree assault.

Leonardtown Area


LEONARDTOWN, 3:18 a.m. June 18. A man, 25, dragged a woman around by her hair at an apartment. He was charged with domestic assault.


LEONARDTOWN, 8:56 p.m. June 8. A boy, 10, broke a lamp during an argument with another youth at the Relax Inn. He was charged with malicious destruction of property.

Loveville Area


KAVANAGH RD., June 18. A woman hired someone to detail her car. When she returned, the vehicle was gone.

Mechanicsville Area


YOWAISKI MILL RD., June 5. Property was stolen from a residence.
