SEXUAL ASSAULTS

PAYNE ST. N., 600 block, 12:15 a.m. June 19. A male inappropriately grabbed a female acquaintance, 24, in the laundry room of a building. When she took out her cell phone to call a relative, the male left. Police were called, and a warrant was issued charging an Alexandria male with attempted rape and abduction.

ASSAULTS

DAWES AVENUE AND SEMINARY ROAD, 1 to 10:17 p.m. June 17. Two males wearing ski masks accosted a man, 18. He was struck in the head with a wooden object and knocked down, and his pockets were searched. The victim then fled.

EDSALL RD., 6000 block, 3 p.m. June 20. Two males on an apartment balcony shouted to a male pedestrian, 14, and his friends. The males, one with a knife, then left the balcony and chased the 14-year-old and his friends. Police were called, and an Alexandria boy, 16, and a Fairfax County boy, 17, were charged with attempted felonious assault and gang participation.

MADISON ST., 1200 block, 9:55 p.m. June 16. Two unoccupied cars and a vacant house were struck by bullets fired from a vehicle occupied by at least two people. No injuries were reported.

PARK CENTER DR., 2600 block, 2 a.m. June 23. A bottle was thrown from a balcony of a high-rise building, striking a male security guard, 21, in the head. He was treated at the scene by a medic unit.

ROBERTS LANE, 100 block, 2 to 2:12 a.m. June 18. A male accosted a woman, 31, from behind and grabbed her. After a struggle, they both fell. The male fled on foot.

RUSSELL RD., 3800 block, 9 p.m. June 18. A group of males accosted a tow truck driver, 20, while he was towing a vehicle. One of the males grabbed his arm while he was seated in the truck. As he got out of the truck, he was struck on the head with a flashlight. The males assaulted him and then fled. The victim reportedly refused to be taken to a hospital.

FOUR MILE RD., 700 block, 7:25 p.m. June 18. A man, 35, of no fixed address, suffered a cut to his head and bruising to his face as a result of an assault. The man, who could not remember what had happened, was taken to a hospital.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

HOLMES RUN PKWY., 5500 block, 5:10 to 5:20 p.m. June 15. A man asked a woman, 19, three times whether she needed a ride and drove away each time she refused. The last time he returned, he exposed himself to her.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DOGWOOD DR., 1400 block, 3:40 a.m. June 18. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing a door. An occupant awoke and called police.

HOPKINS CT., 300 block, 11:30 p.m. June 18 to 2 a.m. June 19. A residence was entered by forcing a door. Nothing was reported missing.

KING ST., 4700 block, 3:30 a.m. June 17. Cash was stolen from a business entered by breaking a window.

PORTNER RD., 1500 block, 2 p.m. June 18 to 6:30 a.m. June 20. Tools were stolen from a construction trailer.

SEMINARY RD., 3700 block, 4:45 p.m. June 17 to 8 a.m. June 20. A business was entered through a window and offices were ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

VAN DORN ST. N., 2200 block, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. June 14. Cash, electronic equipment and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BEAUREGARD ST. N., 1700 block, 2:15 to 6:15 p.m. June 20. A light green 1992 Honda Civic was stolen.

BRADDOCK RD. W., 4800 block, 10:15 p.m. June 19 to 6:40 a.m. June 20. A red 2000 Honda Civic was stolen.

DUKE ST., 5300 block, 6 p.m. June 17 to 3 p.m. June 18. A maroon 1998 Mercury Mystique was stolen.

DUKE ST., 5400 block, 10 to 10:15 p.m. June 18. A brown 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen.

KENMORE AVE., 4700 block, 12:01 to 1 a.m. June 19. A silver 1995 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen.

REYNOLDS ST. S., 100 block, 10:15 to 10:20 p.m. June 19. A gray 2005 Infiniti sport utility vehicle was stolen.

SUMMERS DR., 300 block, 8 a.m. to noon June 21. A white 1996 Chrysler Town and Country van was stolen.

WOLFE ST., 900 block, 6 p.m. June 16 to 8 a.m. June 17. A white 1996 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen.

VANDALISM

TULSA PL., 4200 block, 4:30 a.m. June 22. Bullets were fired at two vehicles. A rear window of one vehicle was shattered and the other vehicle had two bullet holes. No injuries were reported.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

COLUMBIA PIKE S., 4900 block, 9:25 p.m. June 15. A male pushed a woman, 50, off a bridge and sexually assaulted her. The woman was taken to a hospital. An Arlington male, 35, was charged with malicious wounding and attempted rape.

ASSAULTS

GEORGE MASON DR. N., 300 block, 2:21 a.m. June 19. A group of males attacked two people with a knife. Both were taken to a hospital. An Arlington male, 19, was charged with malicious wounding.

GEORGE MASON DR. S., 900 block, 1 to 2 a.m. June 19. A group of males accosted a man, 18, and cut him twice with a machete. The man was taken to a hospital.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

CARLIN SPRINGS RD. N., 5400 block, 12:30 p.m. June 18. A male exposed himself in public.

UTAH ST. N., 1000 block, 11:30 p.m. June 10. A male exposed himself to a 28-year-old woman.

ROBBERIES

11TH ST. N., 2300 block, 1:45 a.m. June 13. A male armed with a metal pipe accosted a deliveryman in a parking lot and robbed him of cash and food. The robber raised the pipe, and the deliveryman fled.

28TH ST. S., 1400 block, 10:43 p.m. June 20. A male grabbed a man from behind while a female accomplice searched his pockets and robbed him of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARLINGTON BLVD. N., 1000 block, May 10 to May 25. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.

CHAIN BRIDGE RD. N., 400 block, 7:15 to 10:15 p.m. June 11. Items were stolen from a residence. The thief was seen fleeing from the residence, and some stolen property was recovered in the back yard.

TAFT ST. N., 1400 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

PERSHING DR. N., 2700 block, 8 p.m. June 14 to 2 p.m. June 15. Electronics and other items were stolen from a residence.

12TH ST. N., 1500 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

17TH ST. N., 4000 block, 8:30 p.m. June 20 to 6:50 a.m. June 21. Tools were stolen from a construction site.

40TH ST. N., 4500 block, 9 to 9:20 p.m. June 16. An attempt was made to steal a VCR from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

CARLIN SPRINGS RD. S., 800 block. A maroon 1989 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

CRYSTAL DR. S., 1500 block. A silver 1999 Toyota Avalon was stolen.

GLEBE RD. N., 2500 block. A gray 1999 Chrysler Sebring was stolen.

OLD DOMINION DR. N., 4300 block. A yellow 1999 Honda CRB 600 motorcycle was stolen.

QUINCY ST. N., 1400 block. A black 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

WILSON BLVD. N., 3200 block. A silver 2005 BMW 525i was stolen.

20TH ST. S., 2800 block. A gray 1996 Chrysler Town and Country was stolen.

28TH ST. N., 5200 block. A maroon 1995 Ford Explorer was stolen.
