Jonathan Colantuoni, Hylton, Sr. -- Repeat All-Extra catcher collected 20 hits and provided steady backstop play in helping to lead the Bulldogs to the Cardinal District tournament title. Will play at Frederick (Md.) Community College.
Colin Dunleavy, Osbourn, Sr. -- Catcher/designated hitter batted .325, led state finalists with six home runs and was second on team in RBI with 21. Also had .992 fielding percentage. Will attend Old Dominion University.
Jordan Flasher, Osbourn Park, Sr. -- Right-hander went 7-2 with a save, striking out 101 batters in 541/3 innings and posting a 1.16 ERA. Will play at George Mason University.
Brett Howell, Osbourn, Soph. -- Infielder-pitcher racked up 28 hits (11 for extra bases) and drove in a team-high 24 runs; also went 5-3 with a 3.32 ERA.
Mike Manduzio, Osbourn Park, Sr. -- Designated hitter led team with .470 batting average and 17 RBI; also went 3-0 on mound with two saves. Plans to walk on at George Mason University.
Justin Martin, Gar-Field, Sr. -- Compiled a 6-3 record with 61 strikeouts and 3.37 ERA, and batted .320 with four homers and 17 RBI, to lead Gar-Field to the Cardinal District regular season title. Plans to walk on at George Mason University.
Mike Matta, Potomac, Jr. -- Utility man/pitcher batted .410, drove in 21 runs and went 6-3 with a 1.53 ERA.
Sean McCauley, Potomac, Soph. -- Panthers' promising young catcher hit .427 with 21 RBI.
Andrew Rust, Stonewall Jackson, Sr. -- Shortstop committed just three errors, batted .431 and drove in 19 runs for Virginia AAA semifinalists. Will play at Shenandoah University.
Garrett Smith, Stonewall Jackson, Sr. -- Three-time All-Extra went 8-1 with a 1.87 ERA and batted .348 with four homers and 20 RBI in helping to lead team to third straight region tournament. Will play at Frederick (Md.) Community College.
Julio Stehlin, Forest Park, Sr. -- Outfielder batted .414 and had a .982 fielding percentage. Will play at Concord (W.Va.) University.
Zach Terrell, Manassas Park, Sr. -- Four-time All-Extra shortstop, the Bull Run District player of the year hit .485 with 14 extra-base hits, 14 walks and 16 steals; also went 6-3 with a 1.67 ERA. Will play football at Liberty University.
Nate VanMeter, Hylton, Sr. -- Pitcher/first baseman, the Cardinal District player of the year went 6-3 with a 1.94 ERA, 53 strikeouts and 16 walks. Also hit .305 with 14 RBI. Plans to walk on at George Mason University.
Ryan Wood, Hylton, Sr. -- Second-team All-Met shortstop, drafted in the 49th round by the Cleveland Indians, batted .450, with seven doubles, five triples, 25 RBI, 15 steals and 16 walks. Will play at East Carolina University.
