DUKE ST., 5800 block, 5:23 p.m. June 25. A North Carolina woman, 46, was struck by a blue van as she crossed the parking lot at a shopping mall. The woman, who was in a crosswalk, shouted at the driver when he stopped momentarily before hitting her and driving away. The pedestrian reportedly did not need medical assistance.

W. GLEBE RD., 200 block, 2:15 p.m. June 23. A man, 23, was stabbed in the abdomen. He was treated at a hospital and released.


BRAGG ST. S., 6:45 to 8:30 a.m. June 24. Money was stolen from a hotel room.

CANAL CENTER PLAZA, 100 block, 4 p.m. June 22 to 11 a.m. June 24. Computers were stolen from a business.

FILLMORE AVE., 5800 block, 8 a.m. May 27 to 11 a.m. June 24. Liquor was stolen from a residence.

MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3:27 a.m. June 25. Money was stolen from a business entered by force through the roof.

PATRICK ST. N., 200 block, 7:50 to 11:30 a.m. June 24. Money and a driver's license were stolen from a purse in a residence.

PATRICK ST. N., 300 block, noon June 12 to noon July 16. A purse was stolen from a residence entered without force.

SEMINARY RD., 4000 block, 11:35 p.m. June 26. Security personnel notified police after an alarm sounded at a school. Police discovered intruders and arrested three people. An Alexandria male, 17, was charged with burglary and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; a North Carolina male, 16, was charged with burglary; and an Alexandria male, 16, was charged with trespassing.


ROANOKE AVE., 5400 block, 7 a.m. June 27 to 8 a.m. June 28. A green 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen.

VAN DORN ST. S., unit block, 7:30 p.m. June 22 to 8 a.m. June 23. A black 2004 GMC Envoy was stolen.

WILSON BLVD. N., 2000 block, noon June 28. A man reportedly set fire to a newspaper on a sidewalk. When police arrived, he allegedly refused to identify himself and resisted arrest. A man, 45, of no fixed address was arrested and charged with arson, resisting arrest and failure to identify himself.


GLEBE RD. N., 300 block, 11:50 p.m. June 24. A man was hit on the head with a beer bottle, receiving a cut. An Arlington man, 24, and a man, 22, of no fixed address were arrested.

GLEBE RD. S., 3100 block, 11:30 p.m. June 26. A man got off a bike on a trail and shouted at a group of four people while holding a knife. The group ran and one male fell. The bicyclist cut his hand and shin.

HAYES ST. S., 1100 block, 5:50 p.m. June 25. A man was stabbed in the back during an argument at a mall. He was taken to a hospital.

WALTER REED DR. S., 600 block, 6:09 p.m. June 25. While moving a couch, two men argued and one was stabbed in the hand. An Arlington man, 43, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.


COLUMBIA PIKE, 5500 block, 5:18 p.m. June 24. A man stole a woman's purse.

FORT MEYER DR. N., 12:19 p.m. June 26. A man walked into a gas station and asked about buying a cigar. The cashier accepted money from the man, who then threatened the clerk and took money from a cash register.

GEORGE MASON DR. N., 6 p.m. June 24. A man knocked a woman down and took her purse, which contained cash and medication.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 2400 block, 5:30 p.m. June 27. A man entered a pharmacy

and put several containers of facial

moisturizer into a store basket. When a clerk approached and asked for the basket, the man struck the clerk with the basket and fled with the merchandise.


GARFIELD ST. N., 900 block, 1 to 5:10 p.m. June 27. A residence was entered by forcing a rear door, and jewelry was taken.

LEE HWY. N., 4500 block, 4:40 a.m. June 23. Cash and other property were taken from a convenience store entered by breaking a glass door.

LEE HWY. N., 3900 block, 11:30 p.m. June 24 to 9:15 a.m. June 25. Various beverages were taken from a walk-in refrigerator at a business.

ROLFE ST. S., 1300 block, noon June 1 to 5:30 p.m. June 24. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

16TH ST. N., 5000 block, 9:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 29. A gun and cash were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a basement door.


FOUR MILE RUN DR. S., 4000 block. A white 1996 Honda Civic was stolen.

QUEEN ST. N., 1600 block. A silver 2003 Toyota RAV was stolen.

VERMONT ST. N., 700 block. A blue 2002 GMC Envoy was stolen.
