HOMICIDES

PATTERSON ST., 1-99 block, 7:35 a.m. June 22. Alan Melvin Young Jr., 27, of the 500 block of Franklin Street NE, was found on a street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

NASH ST., 4700 block, 3:47 p.m. June 18. Mohamed Elmaghraby, 18, of the 10000 block of Dubarry Street, Glendale, was found in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

LINDEN PL., 1200 block, 3 a.m. June 19. An unidentified male was found burning in an alley. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's Office, where he was pronounced dead.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 2100 block, 7:30 p.m. June 16. Kenzell Durham, 38, of the 6400 block of Roberts Drive, Temple Hills, was found on a street with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

MICHIGAN AVE., 900 block, 1 to 4:30 p.m. June 14. A sexual assault occurred at a residence.

ROBBERIES

ABBEY PL., 1100 block, 10:48 p.m. June 19. Two males assaulted a deliveryman and took food.

BENNING RD., 1600 block, 7:45 p.m. June 18. A male demanded property from a female, then fled without taking anything.

BENNING RD., 2600 block, 6:30 a.m. June 22. Two males in a vehicle robbed a person at a service station.

BENNING RD., 3300 block, 6:15 to 6:20 a.m. June 22. A gunman and three male accomplices got out of a vehicle at a gas station and robbed a male of a wallet.

BLADENSBURG RD., 1800 block, 6:50 a.m. June 22. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male at a gas station of a wallet containing credit cards and a cell phone.

K ST., 1-99 block, 2:15 p.m. June 18. A male with a knife assaulted a male pedestrian, robbed him of property and fled with a male accomplice.

LEE ST., 4700 block, 9:30 to 9:40 p.m. June 18. A male assaulted a male pedestrian and robbed him of keys.

MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 8 to 8:05 p.m. June 21. A gunman and a male accomplice got out of a vehicle at a gas station and robbed a person of shoes and a wallet.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4300 block, 7:14 to 7:18 a.m. June 18. A gunman entered a restaurant and took cash from a cash register and a safe.

TENNESSEE AVE., 100 block, 1:50 a.m. June 21. A male assaulted and robbed a male in front of a residence.

NANNIE HELEN BURROUGHS AVE., 4300 block, 5 p.m. June 19 to 12:03 a.m. June 20. Cigarettes were stolen from a gas station entered by removing a window.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 6000 block, 12:45 a.m. June 22. A female intruder and several accomplices fled from an office building after being observed by security personnel.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 900 block, 8:30 to 11 p.m. June 18. Property was stolen from a liquor store entered through a window.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1300 block, 8:45 p.m. June 19 to 7:30 a.m. June 20. Purses, a DVD player and a CD player were stolen from a store entered by removing ceiling panels.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 2200 block, 6:53 to 7:15 a.m. June 22. A computer was stolen from a church entered by knocking a hole in a side wall.

V ST., 900 block, 12:05 a.m. June 19 to 4:45 a.m. June 20. Property was stolen from an office building entered by breaking a front window.

FIRST ST., 800 block, 4 to 4:08 a.m. June 19. Cigarettes and a trash can were stolen from a restaurant.

THIRD ST., 2400 block, 4 p.m. June 17 to 8:10 a.m. June 20. A microwave oven and a ladder were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a rear door.

FOURTH ST., 2700 block, 6:15 to 6:20 p.m. June 18. Property was stolen from a residence by a male, who fled when he was confronted by a resident.

13TH PL., 4100 block, 1 p.m. June 21. Tools and a bicycle were stolen from a residence entered by cutting a lock on a garage door.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE. AND F ST., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 21. A boy was involved in a sexual assault.

WARDER ST., 5 p.m. June 18. A male was involved in a sexual assault in a home.

ROBBERIES

CHAMPLAIN ST., 2200 block, 8:25 p.m. June 18. Four male juveniles approached a female sitting on a bench at a school and snatched property. The female followed the boys and flagged down police. No further information was provided by police.

COLORADO AVE., 5700 block, 9:45 p.m. June 20. Four male teenagers attacked a 26-year-old man as he opened a door of an apartment building. The man was beaten with a stick and kicked. A wallet, an ID and a bank card were taken.

COLUMBIA RD., 1300 block, 9:45 p.m. June 23. Eight to 10 male juveniles attacked a male on a mountain bike and took the bike.

HARVARD ST., 1100 block, 10:20 to 10:45 p.m. May 31. A wallet was taken from a pedestrian. Seven males were involved.

HERTFORD PL. AND OGDEN ST., 1:35 a.m. June 22. A gunman demanded property from a pedestrian, then another male driving a red vehicle snatched a pedestrian's purse.

HOBART ST., 1600 block, 10:20 p.m. June 22. A female pedestrian was robbed of a purse and a gym bag at gunpoint. Several people were involved.

HOLMEAD PL., 3400 block, 10:50 p.m. June 16. A pedestrian was hit on the head from behind and robbed of property. Three males fled together on foot.

IRVING ST., 1600 block, 5 a.m. June 18. Three males forced a pedestrian into an alley at knifepoint. One took a wallet and a bag containing a work uniform.

JEFFERSON ST., 1300 block, 10:37 p.m. June 21. Three males, including a teenager and a younger boy, flagged down a cab. The teenager robbed the driver of a wallet at gunpoint.

L ST., 100 block, 6:40 p.m. June 22. A male teenager punched a male pedestrian in the back, knocking him down. Another male teenager kicked the pedestrian and took a cell phone. The teenagers fled on bicycles.

L ST., 1400 block, 6:14 p.m. June 21. A man on a mountain bike robbed a pedestrian of a purse.

MORTON ST., 600 block, 9:47 p.m. June 17. A male teenager -- accompanied by others -- hit a pedestrian in the face and tried to pull him into an alley. The group fled when a police officer approached. A male, 14, was arrested.

NEW JERSEY AVE., 1700 block, 10:45 to 10:50 p.m. June 18. A male showing barber scissors demanded cash from a female at a gas station. The female pushed him away and honked her vehicle horn. The robber fled on foot.

P ST., 900 block, 4:20 p.m. June 21. A man followed a pedestrian. When the pedestrian stopped to confront him, the man demanded cash and took a cell phone.

P ST., 1400 block, 8:30 p.m. June 17. A man on a bicycle snatched a purse from a table at an outdoor cafe.

PARK RD., 1000 block, 8:50 p.m. June 22. Two people pushed a pedestrian from behind and demanded property. The pedestrian escaped. Nothing was reported taken and no injuries were reported.

Q ST., 1300 block, 10:03 p.m. June 23. Several people, one with a gun, blocked the path of two pedestrians. Both pedestrians escaped. No further information was provided by police.

SHERMAN AVE., 3400 block, 1:40 to 2:27 a.m. June 5. A male teenager was involved in a robbery on the street. No further information was provided by police.

SPRING RD., 1400 block, 11:20 p.m. May 31. A male teenager was involved in a robbery on the street. No further information was provided by police.

U ST., 1400 block, 3:30 p.m. June 22. A male pushed another male at a gas station and demanded money. An off-duty police officer saw the assault. A male was arrested.

U ST., 1400 block, 4:35 a.m. June 18. A gunman accompanied by other males demanded a pedestrian's wallet. The pedestrian refused and chased the group away.

V ST., 1300 block, 5 to 10:37 p.m. June 20. A male teenager, accompanied by others, hit a bicyclist in the face with an object and tried to take the bike.

WHITTIER PL., 800 block, 12:05 a.m. June 18. A male entered a home while two people waited outside. A resident's relative reportedly owed the male money, so the resident gave him cash from an envelope containing a larger amount. The male snatched the envelope and fled.

NINTH ST., 1300 block, 2 a.m. June 18. A male teenager grabbed another male's pocket at a gas station. A struggle ensued, and a male accomplice of the robber joined the struggle. The robber took property and fled.

10TH ST., 1200 block, 4:54 p.m. June 18. A car almost hit a pedestrian. Two men got out and attacked the pedestrian. One said, "Don't touch my car." A credit card and a license were taken from the pedestrian.

11TH ST., 1500 block, 7:30 p.m. June 16. Two men with knives robbed a male on the street.

14TH ST. AND MERIDIAN PL., 11:20 p.m. June 17 to 2:30 a.m. June 18. A group of 15 to 20 juveniles attacked three pedestrians. A wallet and a paycheck were taken.

14TH ST. AND SPRING RD., 9 p.m. June 19 to 7:51 p.m. June 20. Three male teenagers with knives robbed a pedestrian. One told the pedestrian to put his hands up. When he refused, a robber hit him with a bat. A wallet was taken.

14TH ST. AND SPRING RD., 9:20 p.m. June 20. Six males approached a 35-year-old man at a bus stop. Two asked for a dollar. When he refused, the group attacked him. Credit cards and a license were taken.

14TH ST., 1800 block, 11:45 p.m. May 2 to 3 a.m. May 3. A male was involved in a robbery at a restaurant. No further information was available from police.

14TH ST., 3600 block, 6:27 to 7:15 p.m. May 30. Two males were involved in a robbery. No further information was provided by police.

14TH ST., 3900 block, 4 a.m. June 20. Seven males approached a 33-year-old man in an alley. One punched him in the eye, knocking him to the ground. A cell phone was taken.

15TH ST., 1700 block, 10:45 p.m. June 20 to 9:06 p.m. June 21. Four male teenagers demanded cash from a pedestrian, who said he had none. No further information was provided by police.

15TH ST., 2300 block, 12:50 a.m. June 22. Two males robbed a person of cash at gunpoint in an alley.

16TH ST. AND COLUMBIA RD., 10:50 p.m. June 15. A man took a mountain bike from a person on the street.

16TH ST., 4900 block, 4 p.m. June 17. Four male teenagers approached someone at a bus stop. One put the person in a chokehold while the others searched his or her pockets. The victim was punched, and a cell phone was taken.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BROAD BRANCH RD., 5500 block, 10:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 23. Two laptop computers were taken from a home entered by forcing a door.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 3000 block, 10 a.m. to 5:25 p.m. June 23. A laptop computer and a digital camera were taken from an apartment entered by prying a front door.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 5400 block, 10 p.m. June 20 to 1 a.m. June 21. A wallet, a check and papers were taken from a purse on the floor beside a woman sleeping in a chair. The home was entered through an unlocked front door.

E ST., 900 block, 2 p.m. June 17 to 6 a.m. June 21. Property was taken from a construction site.

GEORGIA AVE., 4300 block, 3 a.m. June 18. A witness saw a man enter a home, and a CD player and CDs were taken. A man, 47, was arrested.

GEORGIA AVE., 4300 block, 2:30 to 3 a.m. June 18. A man tried to enter a home through a third-floor window. Three witnesses identified a man, 47, who was arrested.

GEORGIA AVE., 7700 block, 9 p.m. June 18 to 4:47 a.m. June 19. Calling cards were taken from a convenience store entered by smashing a window in a door.

I ST., 1300 block, 3:30 p.m. June 17 to 8 a.m. June 20. Property was taken from an office building.

KALMIA RD., 1600 block, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20. Sunglasses, a silver serving tray, a watch, a bracelet, two pocket watches, cuff links, antique tie pins, several rings, a CD player and a camera were taken from a home entered by kicking a basement door.

KENYON ST., 1000 block, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1. A laptop computer, digital video cameras and a ring were taken from a home.

LAMONT ST., 700 block, 3:30 p.m. June 19 to 4:30 a.m. June 20. Drills and saws were taken from a business entered by smashing locks of several doors with a hammer.

LANIER PL., 1700 block, 11:30 to 11:50 p.m. June 2. A break-in occurred at a home.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 3700 block, 3 to 10 a.m. June 18. A laptop computer was taken from an unlocked, occupied apartment.

MOUNT PLEASANT ST., 3100 block, 7 a.m. June 23. A DVD player and a CD player were taken from a home.

O ST., 2000 block, 9 a.m. June 17 to 11 p.m. June 19. A DVD player, a portable stereo, DVDs, a gym bag and a laundry basket were taken from a home entered through an open window.

O ST., 3000 block, 2:45 to 3:07 a.m. June 22. A male intruder left a home through a basement door. An occupant ran downstairs and noticed that computers, a cell phone and a CD player were missing.

PROSPECT ST., 3200 block, 2:30 to 5 a.m. June 21. Four bottles of liquor were taken from a bar.

T ST., 1300 block, 6:25 p.m. June 22 to 1 a.m. June 23. A lock was broken in an unsuccessful attempt to enter an apartment.

U ST., 1300 block, 9 p.m. June 18 to 9:30 a.m. June 19. Locks were pried off a rear door of a specialty store in an attempt to enter it. An internal deadbolt reportedly prevented the robber from entering.

W ST., 1400 block, 4:20 a.m. June 18. A video-game system was taken from an occupied apartment.

WISCONSIN AVE., 1200 block, 4 p.m. June 18 to 5:30 a.m. June 20. Power tools were taken from a construction site. Locks were cut off tool chests.

WISCONSIN AVE., 2500 block, 8:24 p.m. June 17. Copper pipes were taken from a construction site. A man, 25, was arrested.

FOURTH ST., 1800 block, 1:30 p.m. June 22. A computer, a VCR, a basketball card collection, a CD and rental DVDs were taken from a home entered through an unlocked window.

SIXTH ST., 1100 block, 11:59 p.m. June 20 to 3 p.m. June 21. A laptop computer, a computer case and a checkbook were taken from a building.

SEVENTH ST., 1000 block, 12:50 a.m. June 15. A man was involved in a break-in at a bar. No further information was provided by police.

16TH ST., 3600 block, 2:15 a.m. June 21. A man, 23, broke into a female acquaintance's apartment.

17TH ST., 1900 block, 8:50 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 17. A man forced open a front door of a home and took property.

17TH ST., 2500 block, 9:50 a.m. June 16 to 11:20 a.m. June 21. A man entered an unlocked storage unit and took a camera, headphones and a set of keys.

18TH ST., 1200 block, 1:15 p.m. June 22. Liquor was taken from a bar entered by kicking an office door.

21ST ST., 1400 block, 1 p.m. June 23. A male entered a home through a front window. A construction worker arrived and confronted the burglar. The construction worker chased the intruder, who fled.

23RD ST., 1800 block, 12:50 a.m. June 23. An open garage was entered. A vehicle and a desk were searched. Nothing was reported taken.

28TH ST., 1200 block, 11:30 p.m. June 21 to 10:30 a.m. June 22. Property was taken from cash drawers in a restaurant. There were no signs of forced entry.

36TH ST., 1200 block, 11:40 a.m. June 18. A man entered a restaurant through a rear door, took liquor and fled in a silver van driven by someone else.

37TH ST., 2300 block, 6:30 p.m. June 22 to 10 a.m. June 23. Twelve bottles of wine were taken from a home.

ALABAMA AVE., 2800 block, 1:25 a.m. June 19. A gunman got out of a vehicle and demanded property from a pedestrian. The pedestrian was searched. Nothing was reported obtained.

C ST., 600 block, 10:15 to 10:20 p.m. June 18. A gunman demanded property from a pedestrian. No further information was provided by police.

D ST., 400 block, 11:20 p.m. June 19. A male got out of a vehicle, assaulted a pedestrian and took a purse.

HALF ST., 1300 block, 9:40 p.m. June 23. A male demanded a wallet from male pedestrian. The pedestrian said he did not have one and was assaulted.

HILLSIDE RD., 4600 block, 9:30 to 10 p.m. June 21. A male got out of a vehicle and assaulted a motorist driving the wrong way on a one-way street. No further information was provided by police.

KNOX PL., 2900 block, 4:30 a.m. June 18. A male assaulted a pedestrian and took cell phones.

MELLON ST., 500 block, 4:45 a.m. June 23. A male with a crowbar assaulted a pedestrian and took cash.

OAKWOOD ST., 200 block, 5 to 5:15 a.m. June 19. A male intruder was found asleep in a residence by a female resident.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 3800 block, 1:55 to 2:10 a.m. June 4. A restaurant was entered by smashing a front glass door. Property was damaged. Nothing was reported taken.

POTOMAC AVE., 1600 block, 2 to 8:30 a.m. June 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear window.
