Driving Hot Spots
Here is a selection of road advisories. Weather and equipment availability can affect timing.
1. Georgetown Pike
Road closed from dawn to dusk tomorrow through Sunday between Swinks Mill Road and Spring Hill Road. Traffic will be detoured.
2. Old Georgetown Road
Right lanes in both directions closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between the Capital Beltway and West Cedar Lane.
3. Muncaster Mill Road
Road closed for six weeks between Sweetbirch Drive and Norbeck Road.
4. Colesville Road
Right southbound lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Sligo Creek Parkway and Georgia Avenue; left northbound lane closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Sligo Creek Parkway and the Capital Beltway.
5. Capital Beltway (inner loop)
Left lane closed 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays between the Montgomery and Prince George's county line and Greenbelt Road.
6. Annapolis Road
Alternating westbound lanes closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Peace Cross and Kenilworth Avenue.
7. Laurel Fort Meade Road
Right lanes in both directions closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between Seventh Street and Baltimore Avenue.
8. Capital Beltway (inner loop)
All lanes closed 10 p.m. today through 5 a.m. tomorrow at the Route 1 interchange. Traffic detoured.
9. Capital Beltway (outer loop)
Ramp to Route 1 north closed 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured.
10. Interstate 95 North
Ramp to outer loop of the Capital Beltway closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday at the Springfield interchange.
11. Springfield interchange
Some lanes closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.
12. Nebraska Avenue NW
Two westbound lanes closed between 41st Street and Tenley Circle.
13. Kenilworth Avenue NE
Northbound lane closures 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. tomorrow through Saturday between Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue and the Maryland state line for two weeks.
