Weapons Found A 23-year-old Charles County man was charged late Tuesday with a handgun violation, and authorities who executed a search warrant at his house found explosive materials and manuals on how to build bombs, officials said.
A search of Lawrence Fox's car in St. Mary's County turned up two handguns, authorities said. According to a report by the St. Mary's Bureau of Criminal Investigation, a search of his parents' La Plata home, where he lives, turned up high-powered rifles, handguns, armor-piercing bullets, Kevlar vests and a Kevlar helmet.
Concertgoers Arrested Fairfax County police arrested 21 people in the parking lots of Wolf Trap last week before a Blues Traveler concert for various drug and alcohol misdemeanors, police said yesterday.
Fairfax police occasionally volunteer officers to help patrol the lots outside the amphitheater, which is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Park Police. Police said they issued 22 summonses to 21 people: 16 charged with underage drinking, three charged with marijuana possession, one charged with buying alcohol for an underage person and one charged with underage drinking and marijuana possession.
The arrests occurred July 14. The local band Virginia Coalition opened for Blues Traveler.
