Fawn Found in Carport

ANTIETAM AVE., 10200 block, 12:25 p.m. July 9. Residents called animal control about a fawn that had been lying in their carport for more than two hours. The deer, about 4 weeks old, was taken to the city shelter, where a veterinarian treated it for shock symptoms. It was transferred to a wildlife rehabilitator.

Kitten Rescued Near Street

MAIN STREET AND FARRCROFT DRIVE, July 12. An animal control officer who was investigating a report of a black-and-white kitten running in traffic found a frightened cat hiding by a brick wall near the street. The kitten, which was unharmed and about 6 weeks old, was taken to the city shelter, where it will be made available for adoption when it is old enough.
