DEMOCRACY BLVD., 1:10 p.m. July 6. A man in a nutrition a store asked a clerk for a dietary supplement, then pulled out a knife and warned the clerk not to call for help. He took the supplement and fled.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5400 block, 10:01 a.m. July 5. A man in a bank demanded cash from a teller and fled with it.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 1:55 p.m. July 8. A man in a parking lot tried to take a purse from a Germantown woman, 25, he pushed the woman and took a wallet from her hands. He fled on a black Yamaha mini-bike.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 3 a.m. July 2. A Gaithersburg woman, 41, reported she was raped by an acquaintance.

ROBBERIES

SUMMIT AVE. N., 1 to 100 block, 4:15 p.m. July 7. A man in a grocery store demanded cash from a cashier at knifepoint. The cashier complied and the man fled with the cash.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 19200 block, 10:20 to 10:30 a.m. July 8. A man pushed a Gaithersburg woman, 38, as she was approaching a bank, ripped a deposit bag from her hand and fled.

PARK AVE., 200 block, 9:27 p.m. July 7. A gunman and four other men in a parking garage accosted a Gaithersburg man, 51, and woman, 36. The woman was ordered to give up a purse, but she said she didn't have one. The man was robbed of his wallet, and the five robbers fled.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 8:30 to 8:45 p.m., July 7. Two gunmen accosted three men, ages 33, 24 and 19; searched their pockets; took cash and a passport from the youngest man and fled.

WASHINGTONIAN BLVD., 10:21 p.m. July 5. A man at a bus stop talked on a cell phone and demanded money at knifepoint from a Gaithersburg woman, 34, who was also talking on a cell phone. He took cash and her cell phone, then fled.

VEIRS MILL RD., 12200 block, 4 a.m. July 7. Two men at a bus stop demanded property at knifepoint from a Rockville man, 33, waiting for a bus. He complied, and the men got into a black, four-door car and fled.

DEBORAH DR., 1100 block, 10 p.m. July 5 to 8 a.m. July 6. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

Silver Spring District

ROBBERIES

CASTLE BLVD., 13900 block, 10:53 a.m. July 7. A man pulled a purse from the shoulder of a Silver Spring woman, 43, getting packages out of her vehicle and fled with the purse.

CASTLE WAY, 3500 block, 11:48 P.M. July 5. A man grabbed a purse from the shoulder of a Silver Spring woman getting out of her parked vehicle and fled with the purse.

COLESVILLE RD., 8400 block, between 1 and 2 a.m. July 7. Several men at a Metro station approached a Silver Spring man, 50, and one hit him from behind with a baseball bat and took property from him. The robbers fled. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 9200 block, 1:05 a.m. July 8. Two gunmen wearing ski masks went through the pockets of a Silver Spring pedestrian, 54, took cash and fled.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 9600 block, 3:46 p.m., July 9. Two men demanded the purse of a Silver Spring woman, 22, walking in the rear of the block and fled with the purse.

OLNEY-SANDY SPRING AVE., 1 to 100 block, 5:05 a.m. July 3. Two gunmen in a convenience store forced a male clerk behind a counter and demanded he open the cash register and put the money in a bag they handed him. The clerk did as he was told and then the gunmen asked him to open the safe. When he couldn't open it, the gunmen fled.

UNIVERSITY BLVD. W., 2900 block, 8:45 p.m. June 23. A man hit a woman from behind as she was leaving a grocery store and forced her to the ground. He took cash and fled.

ADAMS ST. N., 200 block, 7 a.m. July 5 to 9:40 p.m. July 6. A Rockville man, 44, was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

BLANDFORD ST., 400 block, 12:40 a.m. July 8. A Rockville man, 25, was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

CHAPMAN AVE., 1700 block, 6:20 p.m. July 6. A Gaithersburg man, 26, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault on an officer and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

ROBBERIES

WASHINGTON ST. N., 1 to 100 block, 10:10 p.m. July 9. An Aspen Hill youth, 17, and a Rockville youth, 14, were arrested and charged with armed robbery and first-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

ANDERSON AVE., 3:07 a.m. July 6. A person broke into a residence and apparently became startled by a resident, then fled.

MONTGOMERY AVE. E., 100 block, 2:40 to 2:50 p.m. July 6. A wallet was stolen from an untended shopping bag at a movie theater.

RESEARCH Ct., 1 to 100 block, 9:30 a.m. July 5 to 9:30 a.m. July 6. A passport, a health insurance card and two government-issued cards were stolen from a hotel room.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 700 block, 2 to 3:25 a.m. July 9. A vehicle was stolen from a tow lot entered by cutting a hole in a fence.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 2:30 to 2:34 p.m. July 4. Six double packs of ink cartridges were stolen from an office supply store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1600 block, 8:15 a.m. to noon July 5. A pair of sandals, a pair of boots, two pairs of rubber beach sandals, a box of latex gloves, an apron, three packs of combs, three packs of clips and other property were stolen from a vehicle.

STONESTREET AVE. N., 400 block, 5:30 p.m. July 5 to 6:25 a.m. July 6.Two headlights with plugs, one turn-signal bulb and one heated rear-view mirror were stolen from a vehicle.

TWINBROOK PKWY., 12300 block, 6 p.m. June 29 to 11 a.m. July 8. Parts were stolen from an untended bicycle.

Takoma Park

LEE AVE., 100 block, 10 p.m. July 7. A gunman and three other men surrounded a pizza delivery man, whose pockets were then searched. The delivery man was robbed of property and fled. No injuries were reported.

CEDAR AVE., 7400 block, 8 a.m. July 11 to 6:50 a.m. July 12. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7400 block, 2:10 a.m. July 9. Property was stolen from a business.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

CARROLL AVE., 7200 block, 5:43 p.m. July 12. A 2002 Subaru Outback with two dogs in it was stolen. It had been left running while its owner was loading items.

EASTERN AVE., 6700 block, between July 8 and 9:30 a.m. July 11. A 1991 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen.

WILLOW AVE., 7100 block, 8:55 a.m. July 12. A 1988 Toyota 4-Runner was stolen.
