ASSAULTS

BATTLEFIELD PARKWAY AND BALLS BLUFF ROAD NE, 5:17 p.m. July 14. An assault was reported.

EMERALD HILL DR. NE, 700 block, 4:42 a.m. July 18. An assault at a residence was reported.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 600 block, 1:23 p.m. July 16. Police responded to an argument at a residence.

MARKET ST. E., 700 block, 10:55 p.m. July 17. An assault was reported.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 2:22 a.m. July 16. An assault was reported.

POTOMAC STATION DR. NE, 1000 block, 7:51 a.m. July 18. An assault at a school was reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CANDLEWOOD PL. NE, 1000 block, 6:15 a.m. July 18. Silver coins and DVDs were stolen from a vehicle.

CATTAIL LANE NE, 800 block, 8:20 p.m. July 18. A purse, a rebate check and a passport were stolen from a vehicle.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 100 block, 3:24 p.m. July 18. License plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at a motel.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 6:46 p.m. July 15. A Sony digital video camera was stolen from a business.

GATEWAY DR. SE, 900 block, 8:11 p.m. July 16. A stereo system was stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence.

GRAYWOOD WAY NE, 1000 bloc, 7:51 a.m. July 18. A case containing CDs was stolen from a vehicle.

KALMIA SQ. NE, 500 block, 1:20 p.m. July 15. A vehicle was entered and ransacked. Nothing was reported stolen.

KING ST. N., 100 block, 7:15 p.m. July 17. A pen light, a utility knife, sterling silver ink pens and paperwork were stolen from a residence.

KING ST. S., 500 block, 9:34 p.m. July 17. A motorist at a service station drove off without paying for gas.

MARKET ST. E., 600 block, 8:34 p.m. July 18. A motorist at a service station drove off without paying for gas.

PLANTERS TERR. NE, 500 block, 9:30 a.m. July 15. Three bottles of insulin, a credit card and a driver's license were stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ROY CT. SE, 100 block, 3:10 a.m. July 19. A 2001 Infinity was stolen.

SILVERBELL TERR. NE, 400 block, 7:42 a.m. July 15. A 1997 Plymouth Voyager parked at a residence was stolen.

VANDALISM

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 300 block, 4:35 p.m. July 16. Vehicle tires were slashed.

MARKET ST. E., 300 block, 9:05 a.m. July 16. Tires of seven vehicles at a car dealership were slashed and one vehicle was scratched.

MARKET ST. W., 100 block, 6:21 a.m. July 16. Vehicle tires were slashed.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 5:24 p.m. July 14. Two vehicles were damaged when an unidentified substance was poured on them.

ROCKBRIDGE DR. SE, 500 block, 1:40 p.m. July 15. A vehicle tire was slashed.

Sterling Area

ROBBERIES

SUGARLAND RUN RD., 46000 block, 11:14 to 11:25 p.m. July 17. A man ordered two males to empty their pockets and fled with cash. A 20-year-old Sterling man was charged with robbery.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

DULLES TOWN CIR., 21000 block, 8:50 p.m. July 18. A man exposed himself to an off-duty deputy in a bathroom at a restaurant. A 34-year-old Florida man was charged with indecent exposure.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DAVENPORT DR., 20000 block, 7 p.m. July 16 to 9 a.m. July 18. Surveillance equipment was stolen from an area outside a building.

HOGA RD., 1000 block, 1:30 a.m. July 18. A man entered a residence by forcing open a bedroom window screen. As he was going through the window, he touched a sleeping female who woke up and screamed. The man fled. A 20-year-old Sterling man was charged with burglary.

VANDALISM

HOLBORN CT., 900 block, 4:30 to 10:15 p.m. July 18. A sliding glass door was damaged at a residence.
