ROBBERIES

CRYSTAL ROCK DR., 19700 block, 3:40 a.m., July 18. A man with a shotgun in a convenience store demanded cash. After getting the cash, he fled.

ASSAULTS

EDWARDS FERRY RD., 18000 block, July 10. A Poolesville man, 40, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

WISTERIA DR., 12800 block, 10:12 a.m. July 16. A Damascus man, 35, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property over $500 in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ARCHDALE RD., 19300 block, 10:30 p.m. July 11 to 10:30 a.m. July 12. Bikes were stolen from a residence.

GRASSY KNOLL TERR., 11000 block, 9:45 p.m. July 13. A residence was entered.

Gaithersburg District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

DAMASCUS AREA, July 12. A Damascus boy, 15, in a residence reportedly sexually assaulted a female acquaintance, 5, also of Damascus. An investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

CLUBHOUSE RD., 19300 block, July 16. A Hagerstown man, 19, was arrested and charged with robbery, theft under $500, and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

MAHOGANY DR., 9800 block, 11:55 p.m. July 14. A gunman in a parking lot demanded property from a Gaithersburg woman, 29. The woman got into her car and drove away. Nothing was reported taken and no injuries were reported.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVENUE AND CLUBHOUSE ROAD, 10:15 p.m. July 14. A gunman and an adult male accomplice demanded cash and property from a Montgomery Village youth, 15. The youth complied and the men fled.

SIDE DR. W., 8:30 to 9 p.m. June 25. A male took a bike at knifepoint from a Gaithersburg boy, 12, riding on a path through the woods between West Side Drive and Muddy Branch Road. The robber rode away on the bike.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 1 to 100 block, 2:02 p.m. July 11. Three men in a market took cash from a register at knifepoint and fled.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 300 block, 10:45 p.m. July 6. A Gaithersburg man, 19, and a Montgomery Village youth, 17, were arrested and charged with attempted robbery, first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

VILLAGE AVENUE E. AND MARTIN P. ROY PARK, 12:30 to 1 p.m. July 6. Two males in a car took a purse from a Gaithersburg woman and removed cash. The woman got out of the car and walked home.

WASHINGTONIAN BLVD., 10:20 p.m. July 17. Four males walked with a Gaithersburg man, 23, who was then beaten and robbed of his wallet. The man fled.

ASSAULTS

MUDDY BRANCH RD., 200 block, July 7. A Gaithersburg boy, 16, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred on June 8 at a shopping center at the above location.

MUDDY BRANCH RD., 400 block, 9 p.m. July 17. Five males accosted a Gaithersburg man, 22, who was then hit on the arm with a club or bat. He was treated at a local hospital for an injury.

QUEEN VICTORIA CT., 17100 block, July 13. A Gaithersburg man, 18, was arrested and charged with five counts of first-degree assault, five counts of second-degree assault and five counts of reckless endangerment in connection with an incident that occurred July 12 at the above location.

SWEEPSTAKES RD., 10400 block, 7:30 p.m. July 13. A Damascus pedestrian, 44, was shot in the leg by pellet from a BB gun fired from a moving red convertible vehicle with three male motorists.

CLAYHALL ST., 400 block, midnight to 8:30 a.m. July 14. Bikes were stolen from a residence.

CORIANDER DR., 7900 block, 11:45 p.m. July 13. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

DUVAL LANE, 100 block, July 11 to July 17. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

GRANTCHESTER PL., 1 to 100 block, 12:15 to 6:15 a.m. July 14. Property was stolen from a residence.

LOST KNIFE RD., 9600 block, 11:30 to 11:50 p.m. July 10. An attempt was made to enter a liquor store.

MUDDY BRANCH RD., 300 block, 4 p.m. July 1 to 2 p.m. July 3. A pet resort was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

PROFESSIONAL DR., 400 block, 8:30 p.m. July 13 to 10:25 a.m. July 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

SUMMERWALK DR., 700 block, 1:56 p.m. July 12. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force.

WEDGE WAY, 10000 block, June 29 to July 11. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

Rockville District

ROBBERIES

MEDICAL CENTER DR., 9700 block, 9 a.m. July 3. A gunman at a pharmacy counter, demanded a bottle of prescription pain medicine, obtained it and fled.

ASSAULTS

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 12000 block, 9:14 p.m. July 15. Four men in a restaurant accosted a Potomac man, 27, who received a cut on his body. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Silver Spring District

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

CASTLE ROAD AREA, July 6. A Columbia woman reported her two daughters, ages 9 and 15, had been sexually molested by a male relative at the above location from approximately Jan. 1, 1995 to July 1, 1999. An investigation was continuing.

THAYER AVE., 800 block, 8:45 a.m. July 17. A man in an elevator grabbed the buttocks of a Silver Spring woman, 36, and tried to kiss her. The woman knocked on an apartment door for help and the assailant fled.

ROBBERIES

CATOCTIN TERR., 1900 block, 4 p.m. July 8. A man grabbed a portable CD player out of the hand of a Silver Spring pedestrian, 14, and ran away.

COLESVILLE RD., 10100 block, A gunman wearing a mask entered a gas station, shoved an employee and demanded cash. The employee did not comply and the gunman fled.

COLESVILLE RD., 8400 block, 7:15 p.m. July 10. Two men at a bus stop grabbed a Rockville man, 48, by the shoulders, lifted his shirt, and took money and a cell phone.

DENNIS AVENUE AND ROYALTON DRIVE, 10 p.m. July 14. Three males pulled open the driver's side door of a Silver Spring motorist, 20, and ordered him to get out. As the motorist drove away, one of the men hit him over the head with a blunt object.

GEORGIA AND HEWITT AVENUES, 5:35 p.m. July 9. A Silver Spring man, 18, and two youths, ages 16 and 17, were arrested and charged with attempted strong-arm robbery and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

GEORGIA AVE., 11100 block, July 3. A Silver Spring adult, 18, a Wheaton youth, 17, and a Silver Spring youth, 16, were arrested. The adult was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $500. The youths were charged with robbery and assault. All were charged in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

KENNETT ST., 8000 block, 1:45 p.m. July 17. Two men at knifepoint accosted a Takoma Park man, 19, and took his wallet and a BB gun.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 11200 block, 1:30 to 2 p.m. July 3. Three males in a department store parking lot demanded car keys at gunpoint from a Silver Spring man, 43, beat him and left in his car, a dark-blue 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 9000 block, 9:21 p.m. July 16. Two men accosted a Takoma Park woman, 35, from behind, forced her to the ground, grabbed her bag and fled.

ASSAULTS

CHERRY HILL ROAD AND ROUTE 29, July 3 A Wheaton man, 27, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in connection with an incident that occurred July 2 at the above location.

GARLAND AVE., 8500 block, 6:20 p.m. July 16. A Silver Spring man, 38, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location. .

16TH ST., 8300 block, 10 a.m. July 7. A Silver Spring woman, 23, answered a knock at her front door without unhooking a safety chain, saw a gunman and immediately closed the door. The gunman left.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

STEWART LANE, 11400 block, 7:20 p.m. July 12. A man walked up to two Silver Spring girls, ages 4 and 10, playing outside and exposed himself. The girls ran into a nearby apartment and the man walked away.

VIOLET PL., 800 block, 9:40 p.m. July 13. A man ran down the street with his shorts to his knees and exposed himself to a Silver Spring woman, 32, sitting on the block.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CASTLE BLVD., 13900 block, 10 a.m. July 15 to 11:30 p.m. July 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

DISTRIBUTION CIR., 2200 block 3:30 p.m. July 15 to 1 p.m. July 16. An attempt was made to enter a residence by force.

EAST-WEST HWY., 1400 block, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 8. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

FRANKLIN AVE. E., 800 block, 9 p.m. July 18 to 7 a.m. July 19. A swimming pool was entered through an unlocked door. Nothing was reported missing.

GEORGIA AVE., 8300 block, 1 to 10 a.m. July 14. Cash and liquor were stolen from a restaurant entered by force.

GEORGIA AND GLENALLAN AVENUES, 5:40 a.m. July 9. A small black vehicle stopped in front of a female pedestrian, 35, of Silver Spring, a passenger got out and tried to take the pedestrian's purse but was unsuccessful. He got back in the car and it drove away.

MARKSMAN CIR., 1800 block, 6 a.m. July 5 to 10 p.m. July 12. A man forced an adult female acquaintance, 41, of Olney, into his car, drove her to Virginia against her will, hit her and took her cell phone and purse.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CONNECTICUT AVE., 13700 block, 4:57 to 5:20 a.m. July 10. A fast-food restaurant was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

CROCKETT LANE, 1300 block, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. July 6. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

GEORGIA AVE., 13800 block, 3 to 3:22 a.m. July 10. Property was stolen from a liquor store entered by force.

LAYHILL RD., 12600 block, July 9. A Wheaton man, 20, was arrested and charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary, second-degree assault, and violation of a protection order in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

GARDEN VIEW SQ., 300 block, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 13. A vacuum cleaner was stolen from a residence.

GLENORA LANE, 2900 block, 4 p.m. July 10 to 9 a.m. July 13. An in-dash CD player-radio was stolen from a vehicle.

GUY CT., 1 to 100 block, noon July 8. A Rockville juvenile, 17, was arrested and charged with theft and credit card fraud in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

HUNGERFORD DR., 600 block, 9 p.m. July 12. A package of baby diapers and several containers of baby formula were stolen from a grocery store.

HUNGERFORD DR., 500 block, noon May 20 to 1:11 p.m. July 14. A hand-held digital music player was stolen from an apartment.

MANNAKEE ST., 1 to 100 block, 6 to 9 p.m. July 12. A wallet containing credit and debit cards, a radar detector, 25 CDs and a bottle of perfume were stolen from a vehicle.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 15. A swimsuit, a beach towel, a pair of goggles and a swim cap were stolen from an unlocked pool locker.

MEADOW HALL DR., 200 block, 1:50 to 2:50 p.m. July 14. A laptop computer belonging to a library patron was stolen from a public library.

MIDWAY AVE., 13300 block, 1 to 6 a.m. July 16. An air compressor, a concrete saw and two leaf-blowers were stolen from a residence entered by force.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 13. Three digital cameras were stolen from a retail store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1700 block, 1 to 1:15 P.M. July 17. A purse containing U.S. and European cash, a credit card, a driver's license, a cell phone and an ID card were stolen from a hotel room.

ROBBERIES

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7300 block, 2:40 p.m. July 19. A gunman got out of a Ford Thunderbird driven by another man demanded the keys of a man getting into his own vehicle. The man ran to a nearby building and the robbers fled. No injuries were reported and nothing was reported taken.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 7400 block, 9:49 p.m. July 21. Two gunmen demanded cash from a man at his parked car. He gave them his wallet and they fled.

WILLOW AVE., 7300 block, 12:32 a.m. July 16. Two men demanded cash at gunpoint from two female pedestrians. The women complied and the gunmen walked away.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FLOWER AVE., 7600 block, 5:45 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. July 21. Property was stolen from a residence.

MAPLE AVE., 7600 block, 2 to 9:55 a.m.

July 17. A 1995 Mercury Marquis was

stolen.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 1100 block, 3 to 3:19 p.m. July 19. A 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen.

WILDWOOD DR., 7500 block, 3 to 11:30 p.m. July 18. A 1995 Crown Victoria was stolen.
