ASSAULTS

NORTH PATRICK AND MADISON STREETS, 3:23 a.m. July 24. Investigating a report of gunshots, police and medic units found a man, 25, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he underwent surgery. An investigation revealed that the man and two other males were arguing when bullets were fired and the man fell. The investigation was continuing.

ROBBERIES

GLEBE RD. W., 200 block, 3:25 p.m. July 21. Four male juveniles accosted a man, 20, punched him in the face, knocked him to the ground and continued to strike him. During the assault, the males robbed him of cash and fled. The man reportedly did not require medical treatment.

KING AND ROYAL STREETS, 12:43 a.m. July 21. Four male bicyclists accosted a woman, 21, and a man, 21, and one of the males struck the woman in the back of her head and punched the man in the face. The robbers then took the woman's purse and fled on their bikes. The man and woman reportedly received minor injuries.

NORTH RIPLEY STREET AND HOLMES RUN PARKWAY, 11:30 p.m. July 21. Two males demanded cash from a man, 33, sitting on a bench and using a cell phone. When the man did not give them any, one of the males grabbed his phone, then fled with the other robber.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COMMONWEALTH AVE., 1700 block, 1:30 a.m. July 24. A male was observed attempting to remove a window screen of an apartment. A female resident screamed and the male ran away.

EISENHOWER AVE., 4800 block, 12:25 to 2:50 a.m. July 22. Electronic equipment was stolen from a business.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3500 block, 5:10 to 5:20 a.m. July 27. Several boxes of shoes were stolen from a business entered by forcing a door and breaking a window.

PRINCESS ST., 1400 block, 10:45 to 11 p.m. July 21. Electronic equipment was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ALFRED ST. N., 400 block, 10 a.m. July 16 to noon July 23. A silver 1985 Toyota van was stolen.

EISENHOWER AVE., 2800 block, 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. July 20. A gold 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen.

FLORENCE DR., 3800 block, 1 to 6 a.m. July 25. An orange 2000 KTM motorcycle was stolen.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY., 3500 block, 8:55 to 11:10 p.m. July 23. A blue 2000 Nissan Altima was stolen.

TANEY AVE., 4300 block, 8:30 p.m. July 20 to 5:45 p.m. July 21. A blue 2000 Chevrolet Blazer was stolen.

ASSAULTS

COLUMBIA PIKE S., 5500 block, 6:05 a.m. July 24. A male attacked a man and a woman with a fork. A Falls Church male, 29, was charged with malicious wounding.

CARJACKINGS

LEE HWY. N., 4700 block, 11:08 p.m. July 26. A male accosted a man who had just parked his car behind a restaurant and took the vehicle at gunpoint. The car was located in the District. A District male, 40, was charged with carjacking.

ROBBERIES

ARLINGTON MILL RD. S., 700 block, 3:20 p.m. July 19. Two males robbed a man walking along a bike trail of cash at knifepoint.

EADS ST. S., 2300 block, 11:23 p.m. July 20. A female approached a man leaving a store and grabbed cash from his hand. A woman, of no fixed address, was charged with robbery.

FERN ST. S., 3200 block, 9:55 p.m. July 19. A man forced his way into a car as two women were leaving it and robbed them of purses.

HENDERSON RD. N., 4300 block, 1 a.m. July 21. Two males robbed a man of a wallet and a cell phone.

PERSHING DR. N., 4300 block, 11:30 p.m. July 21. Two men grabbed a male pedestrian by the neck, forced him to the ground and punched him repeatedly, then robbed him of cash, a driver's license, a check card and other items.

THOMAS ST. S., 1300 block, 10:45 p.m. July 20. A man robbed a woman of a purse containing cash.

THIRD ST. N., 4100 block, 7:20 p.m. July 24. Two men robbed a male pedestrian of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

COLUMBUS ST. S., 1500 block, 7:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. July 22. Cash and jewelry were stolen from a residence.

DICKERSON ST. S., 800 block, 1 to 5:30 p.m. July 25. Cash was stolen from a residence.

JOYCE ST. S., 1300 block. Two license plates were stolen.

QUINCY ST. N., 1300 block, 8:30 a.m. July 11 to 8:30 a.m. July 25. Bottled drinks and snack food were stolen from a concession stand entered by breaking a window.

QUINCY ST. N., 1400 block. A temporary license plate was stolen.

FOUR MILE RUN DR. S., 4200 block. A license plate was stolen.

NINTH ST. S., 3600 block, 3:30 p.m. July 22 to 1:41 p.m. July 24. A residence was entered by breaking a window. Nothing was reported missing.

13TH RD. S., 1700 block, 7:45 to 11:45 a.m. July 25. An attempt was made to enter a residence by forcing doors with a screwdriver.

28TH ST. S., 1400 block, 6:20 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. July 19. Two computers were stolen from an apartment.

29TH ST. S., 1400 block, 11:30 p.m. July 27. A male knocked at an apartment and when the residents refused to open the door, he broke through a window and forced two women into a bedroom at knifepoint. The male fondled the women and tried to remove the clothing of one. When a security guard knocked on a door, the male fled through a bathroom window.

CRYSTAL DR. S., 1300 block. A red 1997 Ford Crown Victoria was stolen.

EADS ST. S., 1600 block. A gold 1999 Jeep Cherokee was stolen.

EADS ST. S., 2000 block. A blue 2004 MC Yamaha was stolen.

HAYES ST. S., 1700 block. A red 1994 Honda Accord was stolen.

NELSON ST. N., 1200 block. A red and white 1994 Ford Mustang was stolen.

18TH ST. S., 800 block, July 20 to July 21. A vehicle was taken, and unsuccessful attempts were made to steal two others.

18TH ST. S., 800 block. A blue 1997 Jeep Cherokee was stolen.

28TH ST. S., 1400 block. A white 1994 Ford Econoline was stolen.
