Air Show Seeks Volunteers
Organizers of next month's air show at Patuxent River Naval Air Station are looking for groups to staff concession booths during the event. The air station's department of morale, welfare and recreation is seeking volunteers 18 and older, except for booths assigned to youth groups, for which adult supervision will be assigned.
Air Expo 2005 is scheduled for Sept. 3 and 4, and there is a show for people with special needs Sept. 2.
Volunteers will be required to attend a three-hour training class before the air show on safety, fire prevention, and the proper handling of cash, food and alcohol. The groups staffing the concession booths will share 15 percent of the total gross sales.
