HOMICIDES

BENNING RD., 1700 block, 12:20 a.m. July 21. Warren Locus, 30, was found in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

24TH ST., 700 block, 10:08 p.m. July 16. Earl Stanley Bowman, 55, of the 700 block of 24th Street NE, was found in an apartment with a puncture wound. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:59 p.m.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

DIX ST., 5700 block, 3:30 to 6 p.m. July 20. A man forced a 21-year-old pedestrian into a vehicle and drove her to an abandoned building, where he forced her to engage in sexual acts.

JUST ST., 5200 block, 4:10 to 4:15 p.m. July 21. A man approached a 10-year-old girl riding a bicycle on the street and grabbed and fondled her.

MILLS AVE., 2900 block, 3:30 p.m. July 17. Someone approached a female playing at a pool in a park area, grabbed her by the waist and dunked her several times in the pool. No further information was provided by police.

ROBBERIES

BENNING RD., 1500 block, 6 p.m. July 7. A man with a knife demanded money from a pedestrian. The pedestrian struggled. Three other male accomplices joined in the struggle. No further information was provided by police.

BLADENSBURG RD., 800 block, 8:32 p.m. July 15. A male teenager hit a male pedestrian in a parking lot. The teenager took cash and a cell phone and fled on a bicycle with another male teenager.

COMMODORE JOSHUA BARNEY DR., 3500 block, 10:50 a.m. July 21. A gunman approached a male sitting in his vehicle in a park. He took property and fled.

FLORIDA AVE., 1400 block, 10:15 p.m. July 18. A male teenager pointed a gun at a pedestrian and demanded cash. He then fled without obtaining anything.

HUNT PL., 4100 block, 8:40 a.m. July 21. A man tried to snatch cash from a customer paying for gas at a service station. After a struggle, the customer kept the money, and the robber said, "I'm sorry. I thought you were someone who owed me money."

JAY ST., 3500 block, 9:05 to 9:07 a.m. July 16. A male knocked a female down at a bus stop and took her purse, then fled in a car.

KENILWORTH AVE., 1300 block, 5:15 a.m. July 8. A man put a gun to a male's head at a service station and forced him to lie on the ground, then demanded money. The male complied. Another man got out of a vehicle and held the robber's gun while the robber took money. A gold bracelet was also taken.

MINNESOTA AVE., 3800 block, 2:18 to 2:19 a.m. July 16. A male got out of an SUV at a service station, snatched cash from someone's hand and fled in the SUV.

MONTELLO AVE., 1100 block, 10:15 p.m. July 15. A man hit a pedestrian in the face, pushed him or her to the ground and took a cell phone, a lunchbox, food and a knife.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 900 block, 1:30 p.m. July 20. A gunman robbed a male in a parking area and fled in a vehicle.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1000 block, 10:30 p.m. July 20. Three male teenagers approached a pedestrian. One said, "It's you again. I got you last time" and demanded property. He showed a gun and took cash and a lighter.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1200 block, 11:50 p.m. July 18. A male teenager accompanied by another male teenager cocked a gun and pointed it at a pedestrian's face, demanding property. The pedestrian complied. The male with the gun said, "I know you've got more," and the pedestrian handed him a wallet.

SIMMS PL., 1200 block, 7:35 a.m. July 21. A gunman demanded property from a male in an alley, then patted his pocket and took property.

48TH ST., 900 block, 5:35 p.m. July 21. Three male teenagers with guns approached two people standing beside a vehicle in an alley. Cash was taken.

49TH ST., 800 block, 11 to 11:05 a.m. July 16. Two males wearing white T-shirts wrapped around their heads got out of a car and approached a male sitting on the hood of his car. One robbed him of cash at gunpoint.

ANACOSTIA AVE., 4300 block, 7 a.m. July 18. Sports equipment was taken from a government building entered through a front door. Several fire extinguishers were discharged.

BENNING RD., 2400 block, 7 p.m. July 20 to 8:30 p.m. July 21. Property was taken from a home entered by forcing a back door.

BLADENSBURG RD., 800 block, 8:05 a.m. July 19. A specialty store was entered by cutting a rear fence and forcing a rear garage door. Cash and a computer were taken.

C ST., 1200 block, 8:20 to 10:15 p.m. July 16. Property was taken from a home.

C ST., 1200 block, 8:45 a.m. to 4:17 p.m. July 21. Property was taken from a home entered by prying a door.

CHILDRESS ST., 1300 block, 12:30 a.m. July 19. Three males forced open a door at a home and showed guns. They asked two residents where a particular female was, but the residents didn't know her. Two of the intruders went into the basement. No further information was provided by police.

CONSTITUTION AVE., 1300 block, 11:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 15. Property was taken from a home entered by kicking a door and prying it with a crowbar.

CRITTENDEN ST., 1-99 block, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20. A video game system, 12 video games, a cell phone, a gold ring, a gold bracelet and a DVD player were taken from a home entered through a kitchen window.

E ST., 400 block, 11 p.m. July 14. Property was taken from a UPS shipping box left at a home.

EDGEWOOD ST., 600 block, July 19. Two males, one armed with a gun, knocked on a door of a home. When a resident answered, they tried to push their way inside. Another resident helped push back. The males did not enter.

EVARTS ST., 400 block, 9 p.m. July 19 to 2 p.m. Sept. 20. A home was entered by smashing a rear sliding glass door. A refrigerator was moved but not taken.

G ST., 1200 block, 5:05 p.m. July 21. A man forced his way into an apartment while a resident was opening the door. The man choked the resident and pulled his or her hair.

GAY ST., 5300 block, 10 p.m. June 30 to 12:45 p.m. July 1. A printer was taken from a home entered through an unlocked second-floor window.

MOUNT OLIVET RD., 1200 block, 7 p.m. July 19 to 6 a.m. July 20. Cash and three cameras were taken from a building entered by breaking a side window.

OWEN PL., 1200 block, 7:30 a.m. to 8:35 p.m. July 15. A motorcycle was taken from a home entered by removing an air conditioner.

QUEEN ST., 1100 block, 7 p.m. July 18 to 3:30 a.m. July 19. An electronic keyboard was taken from a home entered by kicking a front door.

S ST., 1-99 block, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. July 21. A man punched a female in the face in a home, then left. He later returned and tried to enter through a bedroom window. A relative of the female found him halfway through the window. He then grabbed a set of keys. No further information was provided by police.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 1200 block, 12:20 a.m. July 16. A security guard at a nightclub asked a female to come into the kitchen with him and tried to sexually assault her.

RANDOLPH ST., 2 to 2:35 p.m. July 21. A man reportedly snatched his child from the child's mother in a home and tossed the child across the room, then allegedly raped the mother.

SECOND ST., 2201 block, 10:30 p.m. July 18 to 8 a.m. July 19. A man in a vehicle pulled up to a female and asked whether she wanted to make money. She said no. The man forced her into the car, drove to a home and forced her to perform sexual acts. No further information was provided by police.

ROBBERIES

BROAD BRANCH RD., 5500 block, 10 to 10:07 p.m. July 15. A driver of a van pulled up to a pedestrian and asked a question. The driver then got out and chased the pedestrian. The pedestrian felt pain in his back, and the driver said, "Now you're bleeding" and robbed him of his wallet. The robber fled in the van. No further information was provided by police.

CATHEDRAL AVE., 2700 block, 2:45 to 3 a.m. July 17. A man put an object to a female pedestrian's throat and asked how much money she had. She said she had two dollars, which the robber refused. He then asked for sexual favors. No further information was provided by police.

CLIFTON ST., 1400 block, 1:35 a.m. July 17. A teenager with a gun demanded cash from two people. One person said he didn't have any money and was hit with the gun.

COLORADO AVE., 5400 block, 6:40 to 6:59 a.m. July 17. A male snatched a purse from a female pedestrian.

COLORADO AVE., 5600 block, 9:30 p.m. July 18. A man accompanied by two others punched a female pedestrian (who was walking with someone else) to the ground and took a purse and a necklace.

COLUMBIA RD., 1400 block, 7:40 p.m. July 21. Three male teenagers shoved a pedestrian against a wall in an alley. They fled with a wallet, cash and credit cards.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 1700 block, 11:10 p.m. July 18. A man snatched a purse from a female pedestrian. The pedestrian chased him to the 2100 block of 17th Street.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 1900 block, 4:15 a.m. July 19. Two males blocked a pedestrian's path and grabbed him when he tried to run toward his vehicle. One took a cell phone.

EUCLID ST., 1400 block, 4:55 p.m. July 15. A male beat a pedestrian and took property, then fled with two other males.

EUCLID ST., 1400 block, 11:15 p.m. July 17 to 12:10 a.m. July 18. A man grabbed a female pedestrian by the wrist and took a diamond ring.

FARRAGUT ST., 700 block, 3:35 a.m. July 20. Four men attacked a 32-year-old male pedestrian and fled with a gold chain.

H ST., 400 block, 7:40 p.m. July 15. A person allowed a man into an apartment to give him food. The visitor then put his hands in the resident's pockets and ripped the occupant's pants. The resident fought back, and the fight proceeded into the hall, the elevator and the lobby. The assailant then fled. No further information was provided by police.

H ST., 1300 block, 4 p.m. July 14. A man pulled up his shirt in a specialty store, revealing a gun. He handed an employee a bag and said, "Put something in it." He told the manager, "Don't push that button." No further information was provided by police.

N ST., 500 block, 11:40 p.m. July 14. A male demanded money from two pedestrians several times. They stopped walking when they heard a gunshot. They turned and saw the male pointing a gun at them. No further information was provided by police.

PORTER ST., 2700 block, 1:30 to 1:40 a.m. July 19. A group of males beat and robbed two pedestrians. One of the pedestrians was sprayed with a chemical and knocked unconscious. The other suffered a head injury. No further information was provided by police.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1700 block, 12:30 p.m. July 15. A man ran to a female sitting in a park and clicked a device in her ear. She flinched, and the man fled with property.

U ST., 1100 block, 3:50 a.m. July 17. Two men snatched a guitar and case from a pedestrian.

V ST., 700 block, 9:35 p.m. July 20. A man grabbed a pedestrian by the neck and forced him to the ground. Another man searched the pedestrian's pockets, demanding money. No further information was provided by police.

W ST., 1300 block, 1 to 9 a.m. July 21. Two men approached two pedestrians. One demanded $10 from a pedestrian, who countered with an offer of $5. The robber refused and hit the other pedestrian in the leg. The first pedestrian tried to run, but was grabbed by both men and beaten. A wallet, cash, a bank card, papers and a cell phone were taken.

WISCONSIN AVE., 1000 block, 7 to 7:05 p.m. July 21. After an argument, a woman grabbed a cell phone from a male while he was trying to call 911. She said, "You're not getting your phone back." Several calls were placed from the phone.

SECOND AND THOMAS STREETS., 2 a.m. July 17. A gunman robbed two people on the street. A purse, a cell phone, a pill case, a wallet and a license were taken.

FOURTH AND R STREETS, 7:15 to 7:26 p.m. July 17. A man on a bike made lewd comments to a female pedestrian, then snatched her purse.

SIXTH ST., 1600 block, 8:20 p.m. July 16. A man reached into a female's purse in an alley and took a wallet. The female turned around and grabbed him by the shirt. The man punched the female in the shoulder. No further information was provided by police.

BARNABY ST., 1 to 2 a.m. July 11. A female asked a man for money. The man invited her into a home. As she entered, he sexually assaulted her.

MORRIS RD., 1300 block, 11:30 p.m. July 13. A girl approached a boy and another person in an alley and started hitting them with a stick. She then told the boy to perform a sexual act. No further information was provided by police.

13TH PL., 3 to 4 p.m. July 14. An 8-year-old boy sexually assaulted another child in a home and asked a witness if he wanted him to do the same thing to the witness. The witness said no and left the room.

ROBBERIES

ALABAMA AVE., 1300 block, 8 to 8:02 a.m. July 18. A male pointed a gun at a male's head at a bus or train terminal and took his wallet.

ALABAMA AVE., 3700 block, 12:50 to 1:05 a.m. July 21. A male pointed a gun at a pedestrian and demanded cash. The pedestrian refused. The gunman ordered him to his knees and repeated the demand. The pedestrian gave him two wallets only containing identification.

ALABAMA AVE., 3800 block, 6:25 to 6:30 a.m. July 21. A gunman approached a male putting air in his tire at a service station and said, "Don't move. Give me everything in your pockets." The male said he had nothing, and the gunman told him to get back into his car and do something else. No further information was provided by police.

BENNING RD., 4500 block, 9:25 to 9:45 a.m. July 14. A man snatched cash from someone in a parking area and called him or her a name before fleeing. A man, 30, was arrested.

BOWEN RD., 4500 block, 12:10 to 12:15 p.m. July 15. Three gunmen entered a liquor store. Two pointed guns at someone while the third took cash from the office and the lottery machine drawer. One of the robbers took a wallet from a person.

C ST., 600 block, 8:10 p.m. July 17. A man asked a pedestrian for directions, then robbed him or her at gunpoint.

E ST., 1400 block, 11 p.m. July 17. A gunman robbed a pedestrian.

GALVESTON ST., 600 block, 11 p.m. July 14. A male teenager accompanied by another male robbed a deliveryman of pizzas at gunpoint on the street.

GOOD HOPE RD., 1300 block, 2 to 2:10 p.m. July 17. A male teenager accompanied by three others hit a pedestrian in the back of the head and told the pedestrian to empty his or her pockets. A wallet was taken.

GOOD HOPE RD., 1800 block, 9:40 p.m. July 19. Two males, one with a gun, approached a bicyclist from behind. The gunman told him to get off his bike. A backpack was taken. No further information was provided by police.

LIVINGSTON RD., 4600 block, 12:45 a.m. July 16. Two males were seated at the back of a bus, then approached someone from behind. One put a gun to the person's head and the other put a knife to the person's stomach. No further information was provided by police.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 2700 block, 1:15 a.m. July 20. A man tried to take a wallet from a customer paying for merchandise at a convenience store. A witness grabbed the robber and held him until police arrived. A man, 25, was arrested.

MISSISSIPPI AVE., 800 block, 12:18 to 1:40 a.m. July 17. Two male teenagers demanded cash and a phone from a food deliveryman making a delivery. The deliveryman refused, and one of the teenagers hit him with a gun.

R ST., 1700 block, 8:50 to 8:59 p.m. July 18. Five male teenagers approached a male pedestrian. One held a gun as two others searched the pedestrian's pockets. They found no money. The teenagers fled on 17th Street.

SAVANNAH TER., 2102 block, 4:10 a.m. July 9. A male grabbed someone by the collar in a hallway of a residence and pointed a gun to his or her head. He took a backpack and cash, then fled.

SHERIDAN RD., 2500 block, 3:30 a.m. July 14. A gunman demanded a wallet from a pedestrian. Another male took a wallet and a cell phone from the pedestrian's pocket.

SOUTHERN AVE., 900 block, 1:10 a.m. July 16. Two men hit a pedestrian in the face repeatedly and fled with a book bag and a wallet.

STANTON RD., 2600 block, 12:20 a.m. July 17. A man robbed a female of her car at gunpoint in a parking area.

STANTON RD., 2700 block, 10 p.m. July 20. Two males, one who acted as if he had a gun under his shirt, demanded cash from a pedestrian. The pedestrian gave him cash and ran away.

V ST., 1200 block, 10:25 to 10:40 a.m. July 16. A man snatched a backpack from a pedestrian and pushed him or her to the ground, then fled in a vehicle.

WHEELER RD., 4100 block, 8 to 8:14 a.m. July 20. A woman approached a male in a vehicle in a parking area and asked whether he had any money to spare. He said no and got out of his vehicle. A man approached him from behind and put a sharp object to his throat, and the woman snatched property from him.

12TH ST., 4300 block, 9:35 to 9:45 a.m. July 15. A male teenager robbed four pedestrians at gunpoint and fled with a male accomplice in a van.

13TH ST., 3200 block, 8:45 p.m. July 17. A man asked a pedestrian for a light. When the pedestrian reached into his pocket, the man robbed him at gunpoint of a wallet. The robber fled with another man.

28TH ST., 2800 block, 11:58 a.m. July 20. Two men entered an apartment through a rear door. One forced a worker to the floor and took his wallet and keys.

ATLANTIC ST., 1-99 block, 9:40 a.m. July 19. A woman, 36, removed an air conditioner from a window of an acquaintance's home and took 10 DVDs, two TVs and a DVD player.

BENNING RD., 4700 block, 12:30 p.m. July 19 to 10:35 a.m. July 20. Twenty-six cuff links were taken from an apartment entered by damaging a front door.

ELVANS RD., 2400 block, 6 p.m. July 15 to 9 a.m. July 20. Two TVs were taken from a home entered by breaking a patio window.

HOWARD RD., 600 block, 8:05 to 8:20 a.m. July 20. A man was found in a fenced area removing items from a vehicle. A man, 30, was arrested.

LANGSTON PL., 2700 block, 6:30 a.m. July 19. A man knocked on an apartment door. A female answered, and the man forced his way inside. He took a phone at gunpoint.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1500 block, 1:30 to 1:37 p.m. July 17. A woman tried to enter a home through a rear door. A resident detained her until police arrived.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 4200 block, 2:45 to 2:49 a.m. July 18. A man went to a home to talk with an occupant but was denied entry. He broke a living room window with a gun and tried to enter. His hand was hurt, and he dropped the gun and fled.

R ST., 2300 block, 5:30 p.m. July 3 to 10:30 a.m. July 5. A go-cart and an all-terrain vehicle were taken from a garage.

ROBINSON PL., 2700 block, 10:30 p.m. July 17 to 7:10 p.m. July 18. A man entered an apartment and took two TVs and a stereo.

FIRST ST., 4100 block, 1 p.m. July 17 to 7 a.m. July 18. A TV-DVD player unit was taken from a place of worship.

50TH ST., 210 block, 1:54 to 8:20 p.m. June 12. Six 10-year-old boys entered a school by breaking a lock. Thirty snacks were taken from a machine.
