TEN OAKS RD., 4600 block, 5 p.m. July 21 to 6 a.m. July 22. Cash, a copier, a transistor radio and a calculator were stolen from construction site trailers entered by cutting locks.


TEN OAKS RD., 4500 block, 11:08 a.m. July 25. An ATV was stolen.

VILLA DEST DR., 13400 block, 6:03 p.m. July 26. A black 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck was stolen, then recovered.

Columbia Area


OLD GUILFORD RD., 9200 block, 9:30 p.m. July 23 to 8 a.m. July 24. A fire was set at a residence entered by pushing in

a screen of a back porch. Two rooms

were ransacked. Nothing was reported



LITTLE PATUXENT PKWY., 10300 block, 6:30 p.m. July 20. Two men at a mall accosted a shopper and took car keys, a video game player, games and a hat from the shopper's car.


BASKET RING RD., 9600 block, 7 p.m. July 21 to noon July 23. A portable radio, a speaker, food and clothes were taken from a residence entered by breaking a basement window.

ENDLESS OCEAN WAY, 8700 block, 9:17 a.m. July 25. Two storage trailers at a construction site were broken into.

GARDEN WALK, 7200 block, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 21. Auto parts were stolen from a residential garage entered through an open garage door.

HICKORY RIDGE RD., 10200 block, July 12 to 20. A front door to a residence was tampered with.

HYLA BROOK RD., 10100 block, 11:30 p.m. July 18 to 8 a.m. July 19. A garage was entered by prying open a door, and keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle inside. The vehicle's ignition was

tampered with, its steering wheel

cracked and its passenger compartment


KNIGHTHOOD LANE, 7000 block, July 20. A residence was entered by a sliding back door. Nothing was reported stolen.

OAKLAND MILLS RD., 7300 block, 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 26. A video game player and five games were stolen from an apartment entered by removing a screen from an unlocked ground-floor window.

SEA WATER PATH, 8100 block, 7:30 a.m. July 13 to 5 p.m. July 15. Unauthorized purchases were made on a computer at a residence.

SWIFT STREAM PL., 10400 block, 5:38 a.m. July 20. A 1996 Jeep Cherokee was stolen.

THICKET LANE, 5600 block, 12:55 a.m. July 21. A car's ignition was tampered with.

WILBUR CT., 9200 block, noon July 24. A black 1992 Nissan 300SX was stolen.

FURNACE AVE., 5700 block, 10:16 p.m. July 27. A man argued with a male relative and stabbed him. A man, 43, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.


BUSINESS PKWY., 6600 block, 8:57 a.m. July 25. Cash and checks were stolen from a business.

BUTTERFIELD DRIVE, 6:15 a.m. July 24. A man and two juveniles were seen tampering with a shed, then fleeing. A man, 19, and two juveniles were arrested. Several tools were recovered.

COCAN WAY, 8000 block, midnight to 8:12 a.m. July 24. A shed was entered by prying a lock. A man, 19, and two juveniles were arrested.

GRASSY GARTH, 7800 block, 10:30 a.m. July 23 to 9:18 a.m. July 24. A pressure-washer was taken from a shed entered by forcing a lock. A man, 19, and two juveniles were arrested.

HUNT CLUB RD., 5900 block, 1 p.m. July 18 to 9:30 a.m. July 20. A generator was taken from a shed entered by prying a padlock.

MARIOAK, 7800 block, 9 a.m. July 24. Two saws were stolen from a shed. A man, 19, and two juveniles were arrested.

OLD STOCKBRIDGE DR., 7700 block, 8 p.m. July 21. Lawn chairs were thrown into a community pool entered by breaking the latch off a side gate.

OLD STOCKBRIDGE DR., 7700 block, 9 p.m. July 21. A lockbox containing keys was stolen from an office at a community pool entered by prying locks of an office door and a storage room.

PIRCH WAY, 6700 block, 7:41 a.m. July 24. A man and two juveniles tried to break into a shed. A man, 19, and two juveniles were arrested.

RACE RD., 6200 block, 7:40 a.m. July 25. Entry was gained into a business by force.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 7700 block, 2:52 p.m. July 21. A trailer was broken into.

Ellicott City Area


TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD., 8800 block, 8:15 a.m. July 9. A man in his residence assaulted an adult female relative. The woman was taken to the hospital. An Ellicott City man, 37, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment.


BLUE WING CT., 4900 block, 9:58 p.m. July 24. Someone entered a residence and threatened an acquaintance who lived there.

COLLEGE AVE., 3700 block, 10:11 a.m. July 26. A man entered a basement and went to sleep on a mattress. A man, 20, was arrested.

MAIN ST., 8100 block, 1 p.m. July 17 to 6 p.m. July 18. Cash was stolen from a register and an unlocked safe in the office of a business entered by kicking in a door. The business was ransacked and vandalized.

MEADOWBROOK LANE, 5000 block, July 19 or July 20. Compressors, circular saws, tile saws and other equipment were stolen from a construction site storage container entered by cutting locks off the doors.

MONTCLAIR DR., 2800 block, 7:15 a.m. July 24. A front door to a residence was kicked in.

OLD FREDERICK RD., 11300 block, 10 p.m. July 23 to 10 a.m. July 24. Two mini-bikes were stolen from an open residential garage.

SEAWIND DR., 9200 block, 6 p.m. July 19. A residence was entered during a party. Nothing was reported stolen or damaged.

TOWN AND COUNTRY BLVD., 8900 block, 9 p.m. July 20 to 1:30 p.m. July 23. A laptop computer, a cell phone and other items were stolen from an apartment.


HIBISCUS CT., 3300 block, 2:11 p.m. July 26. A motorcycle was stolen.

ROUTE 108, 10000 block, 2:25 to 2:31 p.m. July 23. Four men attempted to steal a blue 2003 Honda Element.

TEAL WING CT., 4800 block, 10:30 p.m. July 23 to 4:30 a.m. July 24. A silver 1993 Honda Civic was stolen.

ASSATEAGUE DR., 7400 block, 3 a.m. July 20. Roast beef and turkey were stolen from a business's freezer entered through an exterior door.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 8500 block, 4:22 a.m. July 27. An attempt was made to enter a room behind a front desk at a hotel.

BARREL HOUSE RD., 9600 block, 7 p.m. July 26 to 6 a.m. July 27. A 1994 Honda Accord was stolen.

BRIDLE PATH LANE, 9200 block, 11:30 p.m. July 18 to 7 a.m. July 19. A blue 1989 Honda CRX was stolen.

BRIDLE PATH LANE, 9200 block, 5:35 a.m. July 27. A vehicle's ignition was tampered with.

COVERED WAGON DR., 9700 block, 6:15 -7:30 p.m. July 18. A plum-colored 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.

GROSS AVE., 9200 block, 11:45 p.m. July 20 to 12:15 a.m. July 21. A 2005 Toyota Corolla was stolen.

ASPENWOOD WAY, 8100 block, 6:18 a.m. July 20. A man at a residence tried to break in a front door.

GORMAN RD., 8800 block, 5:26 a.m. July 21. Cash was stolen from a register at a business entered by smashing a front window.
