THEFTS/BREAK-INS

JOHN S. MOSBY HWY., 39000 block, July 27 or July 28. Cash was stolen from a cash register and a safe at a business entered by forcing a back door.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ASHBURN VILLAGE BLVD., 20000 block, 10 p.m. July 27 to 10:30 a.m. July 28. A push cart and tennis balls were stolen from a storage shed near tennis courts at a sports pavilion.

PARKHURST PLAZA, 43000 block, 6:43 p.m. Aug. 2. A case of beer was stolen from a business.

RIDGECREST SQ., 19000 block, 6 p.m. Aug. 2 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 3. Two vehicles were entered and a laptop computer and cell phone accessories were stolen.

PROVIDENCE RIDGE DR., 42000 block, 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Plywood and lumber were stolen from a construction site.

BERNELL PL. SE, 100 block, 1:03 a.m. July 29. An assault at a residence was reported.

FAIRFAX ST. SE, 1 to 100 block, 9:49 a.m. July 28. Telephone harassment was reported.

FOXRIDGE DR. SW, 300 block, 4:16 a.m. July 30. An assault was reported.

LEESBURG MOBILE PARK SE, 1 to 100 block, 10:48 p.m. July 28. Police responded to an argument at a residence.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 9:17 a.m. July 26. Verbal threats at a residence were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DRY MILL RD., 17000 block, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 28. A small computer-based music device was stolen from a vehicle.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 2:23 p.m. July 31. Eighteen bad checks were received at a business.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 3:34 p.m. July 30. A person pumped gasoline at a service station and did not pay.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 5:41 p.m. July 27. Candy was taken by a store employee without payment.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 12:10 p.m. July 26. Items were stolen from a vehicle parked at an outlet mall.

HARRISON ST. SE, 1 to 100 block, 2:56 p.m. July 28. Food was consumed at a business without payment.

KING ST. N., 800 block, 9:30 a.m. July 26. A wallet was stolen from a classroom at a school.

LEESBURG MILL SQ., 43000 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2 to 7 a.m. Aug. 3. A digital camera and a laptop computer were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

LILAC TERR. NE, 500 block, 10:23 a.m. July 26. Cash, a CD case and CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MARKET ST. E., 600 block, 10:38 a.m. July 26. Eighteen printer cartridges and 15 packs of teeth-whitening strips were stolen from a business.

MARSHALL DR. NE, 600 block, 10:03 a.m. July 27. Two street signs were stolen.

SHIRLEY SQUIRE SE, 100 block, 3:03 p.m. July 29. A book of checks was stolen. Two of the checks were used for transactions.

SILVERBELL TERR. NE, 400 block, 10:50 a.m. July 26. Two cell phones, a hand-held computer, a glucose-monitoring kit, a wallet and a purse were stolen from a residence.

HARMONY CHURCH RD., 18000 block, 9 to 11:59 p.m. July 28. A Honda moped was stolen.

VANDALISM

CONCORD CT., 100 block, noon Aug. 3 to 8 a.m. Aug. 4. A vehicle window was damaged.

HUNTMASTER TERR. NE, 1000 block, 5:30 p.m. July 28. A vehicle windshield was damaged.

PADDINGTON WAY NE, 100 block, 6:42 a.m. July 26. A vehicle was marred with paint.

QUARTERPATH TRACE CIR., 20000 block, midnight to 8:55 a.m. July 28. A vehicle window was damaged.

South Riding Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

FREEDOM ST., 42000 block, 1:55 to 1:58 a.m. July 29. An occupant of a residence heard a noise, investigated and found a barbecue grill had been moved from a deck to the ground in an apparent attempt to steal it.

LENNOX CT., 42000 block, 6 p.m. July 28 to 5:55 a.m. July 29. Washing machines, dryers, a microwave oven and a refrigerator were stolen from three houses under construction, and hardwood floors were damaged.

MANDOLIN ST., 42000 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 1 to 5 a.m. Aug. 2. A glass door was stolen from a house under construction.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

FREEDOM ST., 42000 block, 10:30 a.m. July 28 to 7 a.m. July 29. A blue 1997 Honda Civic was stolen.

Sterling Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRUNSWICK ST., 1000 block, 8 p.m. July 27 to 5:30 a.m. July 28. Three construction vans were entered by forcing locks, and generators, saws and air compressors were stolen.

COMMUNITY PLAZA, 46000 block, 7 p.m. July 27 to 3 a.m. July 28. Cash was stolen from a safe at a business.

GREENTHORN AVE., 800 block, July 22 to July 28. An attempt was made to enter a residence through a garage.

SULLY ROAD AND W&OD TRAIL, 4:20 p.m. July 28. Two males attempted to enter a vehicle. They fled when they saw a person watching them.

VANDALISM

DICKENSON AVE., 1000 block, 1:51 a.m. Aug. 2. Windows of a garage door at a residence were damaged by pellets from a BB-type gun.

HOLLY AVE., 700 block, 2:30 a.m. Aug. 1. A vehicle window was damaged.

MAGNOLIA ROAD AND MANNING SQUARE, 6:30 to 10:45 p.m. Aug. 1. A vehicle window was damaged.

RURITAN CIRCLE AND CHURCH ROAD, 5 p.m. Aug. 2 to 6 a.m. Aug. 3. A bulldozer windshield was damaged at a construction site.

SOUTHWICK BLVD., 46000 block, 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 5:50 a.m. Aug. 2. A vehicle window was damaged by a pellet from a BB-type gun.
