Officer Identified The Prince George's officer who shot and wounded a man in Capitol Heights on Saturday was identified as Mujahid Ramzziddin, who has been with the department for two years.

He wounded Dale A. Douglas Jr., 31, who police said refused to drop a handgun when he was ordered to do so by the officer. The incident occurred at 10:20 p.m. in the 4900 block of Fable Street, police said.

Douglas, of the 500 block of Hunt Street NE in the District, was treated at a hospital and released, police said. He has been charged with first-degree assault, and his bond was set at $35,000, authorities said.

Bank Robbery Suspect Montgomery County police yesterday identified a suspect in six bank robberies committed in the Silver Spring and Bethesda-Chevy Chase area between July 5 and Aug. 8.

Police are asking the public to help track down Rodney V. Brooks, 43, whose address police did not know. Brooks uses several aliases, including Shalim Massey, Rodney Carter and Barnard Harris.

Brooks is described as black, six feet tall and with a thin to medium build and brown eyes. He has curly, close-cropped, graying black hair and a graying black mustache, authorities said. Compiled from reports by staff writers.
