ASSAULTS

CHRISMAN HILL RD., 14500 block, 6:15 p.m. Aug. 19. A gunman got in a struggle with a bail-bond agent who was trying to take him into custody. A Germantown man, 40, was arrested in connection with the incident.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

AIRCRAFT DR., 19900 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 19 to 5:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Property was stolen from a service station that was entered by force.

CRYSTAL VIEW CT., 19700 block, 1:03 p.m. Aug. 16. A Germantown youth, 17, was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree burglary and two counts of theft under $500 in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

DARNESTOWN RD., 16400 block, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19. Property was stolen from a residence that was entered by force.

JAMIESON PL., 13600 block, 11 a.m. Aug. 13 to 10 a.m. Aug. 18. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

ASSAULTS

LOST KNIFE ROAD AND RUSSELL AVENUE, midnight to 1 a.m. Aug. 21. Two Gaithersburg men, ages 19 and 20, were arrested and charged with second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at a bus stop at the above location.

ROBBERIES

KING JAMES WAY, 17000 block, 2:15 a.m. Aug. 9. Several males in front of an apartment building kicked and punched a man and a woman who had been talking with each other. The assailants robbed them of property but fled with only cash, leaving other items on the ground.

SUMMIT AVE. N., 400 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 11. Two men in front of an apartment building demanded cash from a woman at knifepoint. She told them she only had a little cash, and the men fled empty-handed.

WESTLAND DR. N., 8900 block, 1:02 a.m. Aug. 19. A Gaithersburg boy, 13, was arrested and charged with robbery in connection with an incident that occurred at a convenience store at the above location.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

TWINBROOK PKWY., 13000 block, 12:20 p.m. Aug. 16. A man wearing an orange shirt stood behind a bush and exposed himself to a 28-year-old female pedestrian. He spoke to her, and she ignored him and kept walking.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

WILKINS AVE., 12300 block, 5:45 to 6:20 a.m. Aug. 18. Property was stolen from a restaurant that was entered by force.

ASSAULTS

VALLEYWOOD DR., 12000 block, 7:11 p.m. Aug. 14. A Silver Spring man, 48, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault, false imprisonment and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a domestic incident at the above location.

FIRST AVE., 8700 block, 11:10 p.m. Aug. 14. Four men got out of a white van and punched a Silver Spring man, 41, hit him with a baseball bat, got back in the van and left.

ROBBERIES

COLESVILLE RD., 8400 block, 11:45 p.m. Aug. 17. Two men punched a 31-year-old pedestrian and robbed him of a cell phone.

WEEPING WILLOW CT., 3200 block. A man grabbed a purse from a Silver Spring woman, 46, as she was walking home and fled with it.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

LOCKWOOD DR., 11500 block, 8 to 8:12 a.m. Aug. 19. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

PARKFORD MANOR DR., 13500 block, 9 a.m. Aug. 17 to 12:32 a.m. Aug. 18. Property was stolen from a residence that was entered by force.

WARREN ST., 9200 block, 3 p.m. Aug. 13 to 6 a.m. Aug. 15. A business was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

WAYNE AVE., 900 block, 8:40 p.m. Aug. 16. Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a beer-and-wine store. A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and theft under $500 in connection with a forced entry into the store.

16TH ST., 8600 block, 12:25 to 9:45 a.m. Aug. 17. Property was stolen from a restaurant that was entered by force.

ASSAULTS

GEORGIA AVE., 10100 block, 11:56 p.m. Aug. 20. A Silver Spring man, 37, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property and carrying a deadly weapon with intent to injure in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

ROBBERIES

BEL PRE RD., 3600 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 16. A man forced to the ground a Silver Spring female pedestrian, 37, grabbed her purse and ran away with it.

GEORGIA AVE., 12500 block, 4:20 p.m. Aug. 15. Two men in the stairwell of a parking garage demanded money from a Silver Spring woman, 46. She refused and they grabbed her, took her purse and fled.

PEAR TREE COURT AND BEL PRE ROAD, 10:45 p.m., Aug. 14. A man grabbed a purse from a Silver Spring female pedestrian, 47, and ran away with it.

PEPPERTREE COURT AND CONNECTICUT AVENUE, 10 p.m. Aug. 16. A man accosted a Silver Spring female pedestrian, 23, forced her to the ground and took purses from her shoulder. He punched her in the face and fled. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

ARCTIC AVE., 14300 block, 3:25 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

HUNGERFORD DR., 500 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 18 to 8:30 a.m. Aug 20. A radio-CD player was stolen from a vehicle.

MONTGOMERY AVE. W., 1200 block, 5:10 to 5:20 a.m. Aug. 15. A wallet containing cash and a cell phone were stolen from a hotel room.

MONTGOMERY AVE. W., 500 block, 3 p.m. Aug. 5 to 7 a.m. Aug. 8. Two wrought iron railings were removed from a business.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 11 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Aug. 17. A pet door was stolen from a pet store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 1:52 p.m. Aug. 17. Two ink cartridges were stolen from an office supply store.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 1500 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17. Four lamps and a T-shirt were stolen from a craft shop.

ROBBERIES

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 1300 block, 8:20 p.m. Aug. 23. Two men demanded cash at knifepoint from a man as he left a store. He complied and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HOLLY AVE., 7400 block, 11:30 a.m. Aug. 24. Property was stolen from a 1996 Honda Civic and the ignition was damaged.
