HUNT COUNTRY CLUSTER
The second annual Hunt Country Cluster dog show, sponsored by the Old Dominion Kennel Club and the Warrenton Kennel Club, takes place tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. More than 1,000 dogs are expected to compete each day in conformation, rally and obedience trials. Bring lawn chairs. Free admission, $3 parking. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. A DAY IN THE PLAINS
From origami to the stained glass of Grace Episcopal Church, harpsichord music to birdsong, The Plains displays its many facets in a day-long festival Saturday. Things get started with a five-kilometer run at 9 a.m. at Wakefield School (call for information on registration fees), while downtown festivities begin at 11 a.m. A map and schedule are available at the John Page Turner Community House, 6473 Main St. The list of amusements includes art studio tours, a moon bounce, a performance by Malcolm the Wacky Magician, a library book sale, food, demonstrations and music. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Plains, Route 55, one mile off Interstate 66, Exit 31. 540-253-5470 or www.theplainsvirginia.org.
