Squirrels Fall From Tree

UNIVERSITY DR., 3700 block, Sept. 18. Two baby squirrels fell 30 feet from a nest in a tree. One died, and the other was taken to a wildlife rehabilitator.

Dog Fights With Raccoon

FAIRVIEW DR., 3900 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 19. An Australian shepherd fought with a raccoon in its yard. The raccoon escaped, and the dog, which had a current rabies vaccination, received a rabies booster shot and was quarantined at home for 45 days. .

Shepherd Stuck in House Deck

ALLISON CIR., 4200 block, Sept. 22. A woman returned home and found that her shepherd was pinned to the deck, its collar wedged between the wood slats. An animal control officer freed the dog by cutting its collar. The dog was not injured.

Stray Cairn Terrier Captured

OLIVER STREET AND KEITH AVENUE, Sept. 18. Two young girls found a female cairn terrier wandering in a neighborhood and gave it to an animal control officer. The dog was released to its caretaker.
