SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GERMANTOWN AREA, Sept. 19. A Germantown woman, 31, was raped repeatedly between Sept. 13 and Sept. 15 in her home by someone she knows.

ASSAULTS

RIDGE AND SKYLARK ROADS, 5:50 p.m. Sept. 19. A man struck a Silver Spring co-worker, 21, over the head with a shovel. The co-worker was treated at a local hospital for injuries. No arrest was reported.

ROBBERIES

BARNESVILLE RD., 15100 block, 7:08 p.m. Sept. 19. Two gunmen demanded cash from an employee of a store; the employee complied, and the robbers fled.

BONNIEBANK TERR., 16000 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 18 to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GAITHERSBURG AREA, 11 a.m. Sept. 19. A Gaithersburg boy, 13, was arrested and charged as a juvenile with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and stalking in connection with several incidents that occurred between June 5 and Sept. 19 at the above location.

ASSAULTS

HARMONY HALL ROAD, 7 a.m. Sept. 22. A man shot a Gaithersburg boy, 15, with a BB gun numerous times as he walked along a path toward Gaithersburg High School. The boy ran home and called the police.

LOST KNIFE AND CONTOUR ROADS, 6:04 a.m. Sept. 17. A man confronted a Montgomery Village woman, 51, with a knife as she was waiting at a bus stop. A struggle followed, the woman was injured, and the man fled into nearby woods. The woman was treated by fire and rescue personnel.

RUSSELL AVE., 700 block, 3:20 p.m. Sept. 17. Two men shot a Gaithersburg man, 51, with a BB gun and fled. The man was injured but reportedly did not require medical treatment.

ROBBERIES

WATKINS MILL ROAD AND MILL STREAM DRIVE, 4 p.m. Sept. 19. Someone struck a male acquaintance, 19, of Gaithersburg in the head with his fist, grabbed the man's wallet and fled.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

THAYER AVE., 500 block, 5:29 p.m. Sept. 18. A Silver Spring man, 28, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

ASSAULTS

PINEY BRANCH RD., 9000 block, 7:52 p.m. Sept. 7. A male motorist attempted to choke his female passenger, 23, after arguing with her during dinner in a restaurant. They arrived at the motorist's apartment, where he hit the woman and threatened her with a gun, then fled. The woman, of Adelphi, reportedly refused treatment for injuries.

UNIVERSITY BLVD. W., 100 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 15. A Silver Spring resident, 17, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault in connection with an incident that occurred at the above location.

ROBBERIES

CHATHLAKE LANE AND AUTUMN DRIVE, 11:30 p.m. Sept. 19. Two gunmen entered a vehicle and took property from an Annapolis driver, 19, and a Georgia passenger, 20. The gunmen forced the driver to drive around, then had the pair get out of the vehicle at Route 29 and Dustin Road. The gunmen fled in the car, a green, four-door 2000 Audi A6 with Georgia tag number 537-PEK.

COLESVILLE RD., 8400 block, 5:30 a.m. Sept. 14. Two men reached through the window of a taxicab, grabbed cash from the driver's hands and ran off with it. The driver was not injured.

FALKLAND LANE E., 1500 block, 8:10 p.m. Sept. 21. Two gunmen demanded property from two Silver Spring pedestrians, a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, took it and fled.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8700 block, 5 a.m. Sept. 18. Two men grabbed a Takoma Park pedestrian, 19, and a third man, armed with a knife, punched him. The assailants took money from the pedestrian's pocket and fled. The pedestrian was treated at a local hospital for injuries.

SOUTHAMPTON DR., 400 block, 7:20 p.m. Sept. 19. Three men got out of a white, four-door Honda and demanded money at knifepoint from a Silver Spring pedestrian, 21. The robbers took his cash and cell phone, then fled.

BROADMORE RD., 13000 block, 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Sept. 20. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 800 block, 11 a.m. Sept. 21 to 7 a.m. Sept. 22. Cash, a cell phone, a hand-held radio and a baseball cap were stolen from a resident.

SHADY GROVE RD., 15200 block, noon Sept. 21. A laptop computer was stolen from an office building.

STONESTREET AVE. N., 200 block, 9:15 p.m. Sept. 19 to 8 a.m. Sept. 20. Two digital cameras with charging stations, a stereo system (a turntable, amplifier, a receiver, a cassette deck and one speaker), a CD player-radio, a 35 mm camera and postage stamps were stolen from a commercial business.

WINDY KNOLL CT., 3000 block, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 23. A laptop computer was stolen from a residence.

WOODLAND RD., 900 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 23 to 8:50 a.m. Sept. 24. Two tires, wheels and hubcaps were stolen from a vehicle.

ETHAN ALLEN AVE., 400 block, 6 p.m. Sept. 28 to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 29. Property was stolen from a building under construction.

ALBANY AVE., 500 block, 8 p.m. Sept. 27 to 11:40 a.m. Sept. 28. A 1996 Honda Civic was stolen.

MAPLE AVE., 7500 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 25 to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 27. A door lock and ignition were damaged in an attempt to steal a vehicle.
