EXECUTIVE AVE., 3800 block, 12:30 a.m. Oct. 2. A male pushed an Alexandria man, 21, against a window while another man attempted to cut him with a knife. Both assailants then fled. The victim allegedly refused medical treatment. An Alexandria male, 21, was charged with felonious assault.
WEST MOUNT IDA AND COMMONWEALTH AVENUE, 6:20 to 6:25 a.m. Oct. 4. A male jogger exposed himself to a female jogger.
ABINGDON DR. W., 1200 block, 7:45 p.m. Sept. 27. A male implied he was armed with a weapon and robbed a female pedestrian of cash. No injuries were reported.
EXECUTIVE AVE., 3800 block, 7:45 p.m. Sept. 29. A male grabbed a necklace from the neck of a man, 21, then fled.
MOUNT VERNON AVE., 3400 block, 11:15 a.m. Oct. 5. Two males attempted to rob a business of cash at gunpoint, then fled in a vehicle.
PRINCESS ST., 1300 block, 12:45 p.m. Sept. 29. A male robbed a man, 76, of a wallet at gunpoint.
ALEXANDRIA AVE. E., 400 block, 2:55 to 3 a.m. Oct. 3. A purse containing cash, a checkbook and other items was stolen from a residence. The home was entered by forcing a door.
CLIFFORD ST., 100 block, 1 a.m. Oct. 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 3. CDs and jewelry were stolen from a residence.
COLUMBUS ST. N., 700 block, 4:20 to 4:40 p.m. Sept. 29. A purse containing cash, credit cards, papers and a cell phone was stolen from a residence. The home was entered by forcing a door.

JEFFERSON DAVIS HIGHWAY AND SOUTH 20TH STREET, 4:59 a.m. Sept. 29. Police investigated reports of gunshots and discovered a man in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where died. The case was under investigation.
RHODES ST. N., 1700 block, 5:15 a.m. Oct. 1. A male entered an apartment, woke a female and sexually assaulted her.
THIRD RD. N., 4100 block, 12:30 to 6:30 a.m. Oct. 2. During an argument, a male punched a man in the face. The man suffered a swollen eye and lost some teeth. An Arlington male was charged with malicious wounding.

IVES ST. S., 2600 block, 2:03 a.m. Oct. 4. A male woke a resident while attempting to enter a residence through a back door, then fled when he was confronted.
