THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BROOKFORD SQ., 11 p.m. Sept. 9 to 3 p.m. Oct. 8. Jewelry was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

CHRISTIANA DRIVE AND GLOUCESTER PARKWAY, 9 p.m. Oct. 10 to 2 p.m. Oct. 11. A pumpkin patch sign was stolen.

FOREST FARM LANE, 20000 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 5 to 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6. An air-conditioning unit and a microwave oven were stolen from a construction site.

RIVER RIDGE TERR., 20000 block, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 12. A laptop computer and a power cord were stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

EDGEMERE TERR., 21000 block, 2:30 a.m. Oct. 7. A beige 2001 Toyota Camry was stolen.

HELIX AND DEMETER DRIVES, 3 p.m. Oct. 7 to 10 a.m. Oct. 8. A six-wheel all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a construction site, and several trees were damaged.

DALHART DR. NE, 100 block, 1:50 a.m. Oct. 11. Telephone harassment at a residence was reported.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 800 block, 4:02 p.m. Oct. 9. An assault was reported.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 800 block, 7:07 p.m. Oct. 7. Police responded to an argument at a residence.

HANCOCK PL. NE, 1 to 100 block, 2:12 a.m. Oct. 10. An assault at a residence was reported.

KALMIA SQ. NE, 500 block, 5:07 p.m. Oct. 10. An assault was reported.

WASHINGTON ST. NE, 100 block, 9:27 p.m. Oct. 12. Police responded to an argument at a residence.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 8:41 p.m. Oct. 7. Shoplifting at a service station-convenience store was reported.

EVANS RIDGE TERR. NE, 400 block, 10:40 p.m. Oct. 11. Credit card fraud was reported.

EVERGREEN MILL RD. SE, 500 block, noon Oct. 7. A Yamaha acoustic guitar was stolen from a school.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 200 block, 4 p.m. Oct. 7. Three pair of shoes were stolen from a customer at an outlet mall.

IDA LEE DR. NW, 1 to 100 block, 7:22 p.m. Oct. 11. Cash, several bank cards, keys and a Virginia driver's license were stolen from a locker at a recreation center.

MARKET ST. E., 700 block, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9. A laptop computer, a wireless keyboard, a mouse, a charger and a computer bag were stolen from a vehicle.

PHEASANT PLACE SW, 11:37 a.m. Oct. 11. Water was stolen from a fire hydrant.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 12:57 p.m. Oct. 9. A wallet, a Social Security card and other ID were stolen from a residence.

PLAZA ST. NE, 1 to 100 block, 10:19 p.m. Oct. 11. Cash, a purse, keys, a wallet and a Social Security card were stolen.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

JAMES MONROE HWY., 12000 block, 1 p.m. Oct. 9 to noon Oct. 10. A red Honda FourTrax 300EX all-terrain vehicle was stolen.

THORNBERRY SQ., 43000 block, 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 12. A 2005 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from a parking lot.

VANDALISM

BRIDLE CREST SQUARE AND STABLEVIEW TERRACE NE, 12:31 p.m. Oct. 10. Several mailboxes and a sidewalk area were marred by paint.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 400 block, 6:49 p.m. Oct. 6. A vehicle tire was damaged.

EDWARDS FERRY RD. NE, 900 block, 6:24 a.m. Oct. 12. Four vehicle tires were slashed.

FORT EVANS RD. NE, 100 block, 3:28 a.m. Oct. 8. A mailbox at a residence was damaged.

LONGFELLOW DR. NE, 700 block, 8:32 a.m. Oct. 10. A rock was thrown at a window of a residence, damaging to a screen.

South Riding Area

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

THOROUGHGOOD DR., 43000 block, 2:25 to 2:35 a.m. Oct. 10. A Chevrolet Astro van was stolen from a parking lot.

Sterling Area

ASSAULTS

PENNY OAK TERR., 21000 block, 8:45 a.m. Oct. 10. A man armed with a knife jumped out of the bushes, forced a woman to the ground and took cash and cosmetics from her purse. The woman pulled a box cutter from her pocket and the man fled.

STERLING BOULEVARD S., 12:30 to 12:59 a.m. Oct. 8. A man demanded cash from a male pedestrian, then stabbed him. The man fled empty-handed. The pedestrian was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CEDAR LAKE PLAZA, 46000 block, 1:50 a.m. Oct. 12. Two males wearing hooded sweatshirts took beer from a drug store and fled.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

CORNELL DR., 200 block, 2 to 5 a.m. Oct. 6. A green 1995 Acura Integra was stolen.

VANDALISM

BARCROFT WAY, 21000 block, 5:30 a.m. Oct. 8. A window was damaged by a pellet from a BB-type gun.

CHURCH AND SULLY ROADS, 12:53 a.m. Oct. 10. A bottle was thrown at a moving vehicle.

MORNINGSIDE TERR., 20000 block, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10. A water balloon was thrown at a residence.
