LOUDOUN SYMPHONY

The county's premier classical ensemble begins its 15th season this weekend, featuring a program of Copland, Piazzolla and Falla. Joining the symphony will be accordion soloist Henry Doktorski, who has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra. Saturday's concert is at 8 p.m. at Stone Bridge High School, 43100 Hay Rd. in Ashburn, and Sunday's is at 3 p.m. at Loudoun County High School, 415 Dry Mill Rd. in Leesburg. Each concert will be preceded by a performance by the symphony's String Workshop and an introduction to Copland's "Three Latin American Sketches," Piazzolla's "Concerto for Bandoneon, Strings and Percussion" and Falla's "Three-Cornered Hat." HIP-HOP DANCE WORKSHOP

CityDance Ensemble, a modern dance company based in Washington, will come to Loudoun libraries tomorrow and Saturday for workshops. The one-hour workshops, which are open to students ages 12 to 18, will teach dance movement and vocabulary with an emphasis on hip-hop. COLLEGE ADMISSIONS ROUNDTABLE

Present and past admissions officials from the University of Virginia, Columbia University, Roanoke College and Johns Hopkins University will gather Wednesday to The Plains for an evening of discussion that should range far beyond SAT scores. Each of the visitors will make a presentation and take questions. Audience members will then be able to speak directly with roundtable members at a reception. Reservations are required for the free event at the Wakefield School's Upper Gym. The presentations will run 7-8:30 p.m., with the reception scheduled for 8:30-9 p.m. 4439 Old Tavern Rd., The Plains.
