The board of directors of the Battle Creek Nature Education Society is holding a Wild Auction at which artwork, jewelry and fine crafts will be sold to raise funds for environmental education programs in Calvert County. Protecting the River
The first St. Mary's River Fest has been organized to teach area residents about how to improve, protect and promote the well-being of the river. Sponsored by the St. Mary's River Watershed Association. Activities will include pumpkin painting, tonging for oysters, nature walks, bird-watching and rides on the Dee of St. Mary's skipjack.
