The Rev. Elton P. Wilson Sr. was installed Oct. 16 as pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in St. Louis. The installation service, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville, drew nearly 500 people, including the moderator and vice moderator of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association.

Ashburn Presbyterian Church begins a four-week sermon series today by the Revs. John Peterson and Mark Armstrong. The series, which will focus on questions on the Bible, heaven, Jesus and gratitude, will be presented from the perspective of a skeptic who brings questions to God.

Riverside Presbyterian Church of Sterling debuts its Hispano-Latino church, Nueva Rivera, at 6 p.m. today at Potowmack Elementary School, 46465 Esterbrook Cir., Sterling.

The "New Beginnings" celebration is an opportunity to experience what Riverside worship services will be like, as Nueva Rivera will worship in Spanish at 10:45 a.m. alongside Riverside's second service and will share the church's established youth programs.
