Annapolis Area

ASSAULTS

BROADNECK HIGH SCHOOL, 10:43 a.m. Oct. 26. Two 17-year-old Annapolis girls argued as they walked toward their cars. One girl dropped a bottle of juice, and the other girl went to her car and retrieved a kitchen knife and can of soda. She threw the soda at the first girl, then stabbed the girl's heavy jacket. The first girl attempted to defend herself and suffered cuts on two fingers. Other students broke up the fight, and the injured girl was treated at the scene by a school nurse. Police arrested the second girl and charged her as an adult with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

ANNAPOLIS MALL, 2000 block, 9:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to 10:05 a.m. Oct. 19. Clothing was stolen from a business.

BALTIMORE ANNAPOLIS BLVD., 7400 block, 10:22 p.m. Oct. 26. A gunman robbed a gas station of cash and fled on foot.

CRAIN HWY., 100 block, 3:25 p.m. Oct. 20. A gunman robbed a pharmacy of drugs and cash.

FURNACE BRANCH RD. E., 7300 block, Oct. 21. A gunman wearing a red bandanna over his face robbed a fast-food restaurant. A short time later, police stopped a vehicle nearby and a suspect got out and escaped into a wooded area.

RIDGEWATER CT., 7300 block, 2:38 a.m. Oct. 22. A 17-year-old male pedestrian was punched, kicked and robbed after he was approached by three men. The men took jewelry, a cell phone and cash and fled on foot. Police arrested three men, two from Glen Burnie, ages 18 and 20, and an 18-year-old from Pasadena. They were charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft.

CEDAR FURNACE CIR., 6400 block, 7:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 23. Computer equipment and jewelry were stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

CONSTITUTION CT., 300 block, 12:30 to 3:20 p.m. Oct. 17. Cameras, computer equipment, cash, jewelry and a radio were stolen from a residence entered by breaking a rear glass door.

CRAIN HWY. S., 7900 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 19 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Jewelry and other items were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

CAMPE MEADE ROAD AND TRANMISSION COURT, 10:50 p.m. Oct. 26. Two males took cash from a 42-year-old male driver of a shuttle bus stopped at a light rail crossing. One robber hit the victim's face with a pistol. The driver reportedly refused medical treatment.

ANNAPOLIS RD., 1300 block, 2:19 a.m. Oct. 22. A male entered a gas station convenience store, assaulted a clerk and forced him to open a cash register, then took cash. The robber fled with another male on foot. Both were wearing black clothing and face masks. The clerk reportedly suffered minor injuries.

ASSAULTS

COPELAND ST., 4 p.m. Oct. 23. A male juvenile approached a 40-year-old man sitting on his bicycle and used a lighter to ignite the man's jacket and bicycle seat, then left.

GRAFF CT., 1200 block, 1:54 a.m. Oct. 27. As a 24-year-old man arrived at a location with a co-worker, an argument between the two turned into a fistfight. The co-worker tried to pull out a pocketknife, but the 24-year-old wrestled it way. A woman who tried to break up the fight was assaulted by the co-worker. The 24-year-old and the woman were taken to a hospital. Police were seeking the co-worker.

KING GEORGE STREET AND MARYLAND AVENUE, 3:31 p.m. Oct. 20. Police investigated a disturbance and found a married couple and another woman. The wife told police the other woman had stolen one of the family's vehicles. The husband told police the wife had just slapped him. An investigation revealed that the second woman had obtained the husband's permission to drive the vehicle, and no charges were filed against her. The wife was arrested in connection with the assault of her husband. The husband became belligerent and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

LEGION AVE., 300 block, 4:20 p.m. Oct. 24. A woman confronted a 34-year-old male acquaintance at his place of employment, pulled a knife from her pocket and slashed his face, reportedly cutting him. A short time later, police saw a female on Chinquapin Round Road and arrested her. A 28-year-old Severn woman was charged with first-degree assault.

NEWTOWNE DR., 700 block, 12:15 p.m. Oct. 19. A woman tried to choke a male acquaintance, 28. He pushed her away and began preparing a meal. She scratched his face. A 24-year-old Annapolis woman was arrested.

TAYLOR AVE., 600 block, 6:15 p.m. Oct. 26. An employee in a drugstore was struck by a male she confronted when he tried to leave with an item he took from a display. He fled.

TRUXTON PARK, Oct. 18. A man approached a 35-year-old woman walking on a trail, shook her hand and pulled her close to him. He asked her to have sex with him, she refused, and the two walked toward a roadway. He repeated his request and she refused again. He left when they reached the road.

ROBBERIES

BOWMAN DR, 1800 block, Oct. 21. A male with a male accomplice put a hard object against a 46-year-old Annapolis man's back and robbed him of the bag.

CHESAPEAKE AVE., 800 block, 12:52 a.m. Oct. 20. Three males robbed a 42-year-old Annapolis woman of her wallet at gunpoint after she got into her car.

CLAY AND PLEASANT STREETS, 3:39 p.m. Oct. 20. An 18-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in connection with a Sept. 27 robbery in which a male was threatened at gunpoint by two other males. The suspect was charged with armed robbery, theft, assault and other offenses.

COPELAND ST., 1900 block, Oct. 3. A man got into the vehicle of a newspaper delivery woman and tried to snatch cash from her hand, then bit her hand during a struggle. She drove away and he jumped or fell out before she ran over his leg. He was taken to a hospital. On Oct. 25, a 27-year-old Annapolis man was arrested and charged with robbery, assault and other offenses.

AMBERSTONE CT., 1-100 block, Oct. 20 to Oct. 21. A laptop computer, cash and jewelry were stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

BYWATER RD., 600 block, 4:42 a.m. Oct. 20. Residents of a home were awakened by noise and saw a man trying to take a bike from a shed in their back yard. He had removed the shed door by unscrewing hinges. The residents shouted and the thief left. More than an hour later, an employee in a grocery store called police to report a man had just broken into a coin machine. Police arrested a 20-year-old Edgewater man. He was allegedly identified as the man who broke into the shed and who burglarized a car in the area. He was charged with burglary, theft and other offenses.

CHURCH CIR., 1-100 block, 10:18 a.m. Oct. 25. A hotel staff member found a man taking a shower in a room closed for renovations. A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.

CHURCH CIR., 1-100 block, Oct. 25. Bottles of alcoholic beverages were stolen from a restaurant entered by forcing a door.

DEWEY DR., 300 block, Oct. 14 to Oct. 19. Exterior siding left on a driveway by a contractor was stolen.

GIBRALTER AVE., 1-100 block, Oct. 10 to Oct. 11. A white Ingersoll-Rand Bobcat with an orange rear door was stolen from a parking lot.

HILLTOP CT., 1-100 block, Oct. 15 to Oct. 16. Two Tomas mopeds were stolen from a residence entered through a basement window.

LOCKWOOD CT., 200 block, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a door.

MELROSE ST., 700 block, 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25. A bag containing checks was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

MELVIN AVE., 700 block, Oct. 18. Six vehicles were entered.

PETERS WAY, 1-100 block, Oct. 20. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.

PETERS WAY, Oct. 20. A window of a parked car was broken. Nothing was reported missing.

WEST ST., 1-100 block, 1:20 a.m. Oct. 26. A person saw a male inside a friend's van. The intruder fled with several packs of cigarettes.

WEST ST., 1100 block, 7:15 to 9 p.m. Oct. 19. A wallet and a lock were stolen from a locker at a gym.

WEST ST., 1100 block, Oct. 20. A wallet was stolen from a locked locker at a gym.

WEST ST., 1700 block, 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BELLWEATHER CT., 900 block, Oct. 18 to Oct. 19. A black 2001 Mitsubishi was stolen.

MELROB CT., 1-100 block, Oct. 10 to Oct. 18. An attempt was made to steal a 2003 Dodge Neon.
