Three Puppies Ill at Kennel
WEST FRIENDSHIP, Pfefferkorn Rd., 3200 block, 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25. A report was received that three puppies at a dog-breeding kennel were ill. An animal control officer went to the kennel and found a Labrador retriever, a cocker spaniel and a Shih Tzu in need of medical attention. The three puppies were taken to a veterinarian. It was determined that they had pneumonia and kennel cough. The puppies were kept at the veterinarian for treatment and observation. The case was continuing.
Dachshund's Death Probed
ELKRIDGE, Washington Blvd., 6600 block, 12:10 a.m. Oct. 26. Police investigating a resident's suicide threat found a dead dachshund outside a bathroom window at a residence. The resident was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Police called an emergency-response animal control officer, who took the dog to the University of Maryland for a necropsy. The case was continuing.
