MOUNT HEBRON AT RIVER HILL
7 p.m. tomorrow
River Hill can qualify for the 3A East Region tournament by winning its final two games, including a home contest against Mount Hebron, which has won its past two games.
Mount Hebron would be eliminated from 3A East Region playoff contention with a loss tomorrow. A victory by Long Reach, River Hill, North Harford or Annapolis during the final two weeks of the regular season would also prevent the Vikings from playing in the postseason. But the Vikings are coming off their best performance of the season -- a 42-14 victory over Glenelg, when they scored the final 21 points after the game was tied at 14 midway through the second quarter.
"I'm not worried about anything else except wanting to beat River Hill," Mount Hebron senior running back Chris Eccleston said. "The only motivation we need is getting to play River Hill."
River Hill is coming off its first defeat of the season -- it missed a 32-yard field goal with a second to play in a 15-14 loss at Long Reach.
"Now every game from here on out is a playoff game because it's pretty much do or die," said River Hill junior linebacker and tight end Greg Nowak. "We know we can't lose another game if we want to make it to the playoffs."
