Magnet Application Help
Families of students applying for public school magnet programs can attend an informational workshop at 7 p.m. today at White Oak Middle School and at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gaithersburg High School.
The programs include: Elementary Centers for the Highly Gifted; Takoma Park Middle School Magnet Program; Eastern Middle School Magnet Program; Robert Clemente Middle School Upcounty Center Program; Richard Montgomery High School International Baccalaureate Program; and Montgomery Blair High School Magnet Program.
The workshop will provide an overview of the application process, and all information will be available in Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese.

7-University Open House
The Universities at Shady Grove, a regional center of the University System of Maryland, will hold an open house for prospective students from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Representatives from the seven Maryland public universities that offer degrees at Shady Grove will be on hand.
Shady Grove offers bachelor's and graduate degree programs. Classes are days, evenings and weekends.
