PBS Host to Speak at Event

The Harlem Remembrance Foundation presents its second annual DuBois Business Summit, "Survival and Success," next Thursday at Martin's Crosswinds, 7400 Greenway Center Dr., Greenbelt. The keynote speaker will be Kelvin Boston, host of "Moneywise" on PBS.

Local business owners can meet with experienced entrepreneurs in four coaching sessions. The event includes dessert and a meet-and-greet session. Education leaders and business owners will serve as panelists, coaches and speakers.

The foundation is sponsored by the Prince George's Minority Business Opportunity Commission, the Maryland/DC Minority Supplier Development Council, the Prince George's Black Chamber of Commerce and the Prince George's Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call 301-918-8418.

Chamber Plans 2 Programs

The Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce will hold a "Membership 101" workshop from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at the organization's office at 312 Marshall Ave., Suite 104, Laurel. Admission is free.

Next Thursday, the chamber will present an informal business networking mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. at Citizens National Bank, 390 Main St. in Laurel. Admission is $12 in advance for members and $22 for nonmembers and members who pay at the door. For more information, call 301-725-4000.
