MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

RAMSGATE CT., 7100 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 28 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29. A green 2001 Lexus GS300 was stolen.

Columbia Area

ROBBERIES

HAPERS FARM RD., 5400 block, 7:07 p.m. Oct. 31. A male in a business pointed a silver semiautomatic gun at a clerk and removed cash from a register.

TURNABOUT LANE, 6100 block, 9:55 a.m. Oct. 30. A male told a police officer he had been assaulted and robbed of cash from his pocket three hours earlier by four males.

TWIN RIVERS RD., 10400 block, 9:54 p.m. Oct. 31. Four males on a parking lot accosted several people, rifled their pockets and assaulted one of them. Nothing was reported taken.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CEDAR FERN CT., 5900 block, 6:23 a.m. Oct. 31. Several laptop computers were stolen from a residence entered by force.

CEDAR FERN CT., 5900 block, 1 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31. Cash, a laptop computer and a briefcase were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked second-floor sliding door.

CENTRE PARK DR., 8700 block, 6:46 a.m. Oct. 31. A rock was thrown through a window at a restaurant. Nothing was reported stolen.

CRADLEROCK WAY, 7100 block, 11:05 p.m. Oct. 27. A man was seen entering a business by breaking a front door glass with a baseball bat. Several bottles of liquor were reported missing. Police later conducted checks in the area and found a male nearby. A foot chase ensued. A man, age 20, was arrested.

STEVENS FOREST RD., 5800 block, 7 p.m. Oct. 29 to 4 p.m. Nov. 1. Two fur coats were stolen from an apartment that was ransacked and entered through an unlocked sliding back door.

SWIFT STREAM PL., 10400 block, Oct. 22 to 5:16 p.m. Oct. 27. A telephone answering machine was stolen from a residence.

WATERLOO RD., 6400 block, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26. An intoxicated male was seen leaving a residential garage several times. Nothing was reported stolen.

WHITEACRE RD., 9600 block, 7:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Nov. 1. Cash was stolen from a purse in a first-floor apartment entered by forcing a window.

CASTILE CT., 9500 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 26 to 7:06 a.m. Oct. 27. A 1998 Honda Civic was stolen and later recovered.

HARPERS FARM RD., 5800 block, 6:04 p.m. Oct. 30. A white 1998 Plymouth Voyager was stolen.

HIGH TIDE CT., 5400 block, 12:30 to 8 a.m. Oct. 28. A silver 2001 Ford Windstar van was stolen.

LORING DR., 6300 block, 6:51 a.m. Nov. 1. A 1999 Toyota RAV-4 was stolen.

AMBERTON DRIVE, Oct. 31 to 7:27 a.m. Nov. 1. A handgun, checks and computers were stolen from a business that was ransacked and entered by forcing an overhead back door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

PAUL MARTIN DR., 8000 block, 6:19 p.m. Oct. 31. A green 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva was stolen.

WASHINGTON BLVD., 6300 block, 10 a.m. Oct. 28 to 10 a.m. Oct. 29. A blue 1991 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen.

ROBBERIES

ROGERS AVENUE AND TOWN AND COUNTRY BOULEVARD, 10 p.m. Oct. 28. Three males surrounded a pedestrian. The pedestrian was robbed of cash, a cell phone, a pack of cigarettes and a prepaid gas card.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, 8800 block, 12:01 to 7 a.m. Oct. 25. An attempt was made to enter a business through a back door.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

BRANCH WOOD CT., 8000 block, May 1 to 4:15 p.m. Oct. 31. A blue-and-white 2000 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

HIGHLAND RD., 12800 block, 6:45 p.m. Oct. 27 to 7:50 a.m. Oct. 28. A white trailer and lawn equipment were stolen from a storage shed.

Jessup Area

ROBBERIES

ASSATEAGUE DR., 7400 block, 8:18 p.m. Oct. 28. A male accosted a male pedestrian, placed an object into his side and demanded his wallet. The pedestrian was robbed of cash.

ASSATEAGUE DR., 7600 block, 4:35 a.m. Oct. 31. Three males accosted someone, who was then asked for cash. One of the males struck the person in the back of the head with a bottle. The person fled and was chased by one of the males armed with a handgun but got away. The assailants returned to the person's vehicle, broke a window and took cash from a middle console.

SAVAGE GUILFORD RD., 8200 block, 8:48 p.m. Oct. 31. Two males accosted a juvenile and asked for cash. The juvenile was assaulted and robbed of a bag of candy.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

WASHINGTON BLVD., 8100 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 31 to 5 a.m. Nov. 1. An empty cash drawer in a cashier's booth at a business entered by climbing a fence and forcing a window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ASSATEAGUE DR., 7400 block, 9:45 a.m. Oct. 31. An Acura Legend was stolen.

LISBON CT., 700 block, 2:05 a.m. Oct. 30. Two males took several cartons of cigarettes from cigarette cases at a grocery store entered by smashing a front glass door.

Laurel Area

CARDINAL FOREST CIR., 8700 block, 5:21 p.m. Oct. 31. A safe containing cash and collectors items was stolen from a residence.

LIVERY LANE, 9100 block, 9:38 a.m. Nov. 1. Carpet was damaged at a vacant apartment.

THAMESMEADE RD., 9100 block, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 31. Jewelry and DVDs were stolen from a first-floor apartment entered by forcing a sliding glass back door.

Savage Area

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BALTIMORE ST., 8800 block, 12:26 a.m. Oct. 30. A resident upstairs heard voices coming from downstairs at a residence and saw an acquaintance in the residence. A TV had been removed from the residence and was recovered on the front porch.

West Friendship Area

HOMICIDES

ROUTE 144, 13000 block, 8:15 a.m. Oct. 19. The body of Juan Miguel Gonzales, aka Abolinar Avila, 50, of West Friendship, was found in his residence by an acquaintance, who had entered the residence after Gonzales failed to answer the door. On Oct. 20, an autopsy revealed very small stab wounds on the dead man's body. Through an investigation, police believe an acquaintance robbed the man of cash and killed him. No arrests were reported.
