Hospice of the Chesapeake will host a seminar on living wills at 7:30 p.m. today at the hospice, 445 Defense Hwy., Annapolis. Native American Dance
The South Anne Arundel Dance Conservatory will offer traditional Native American dance classes from 6 to 8 p.m. today and next Thursday at 5952 Deale-Churchton Rd. in Deale. Each class will be led by Keith Colston, cultural director for the Baltimore American Indian Center. Today's class is for children 7-12; next Thursday's class is for those 13 and older. Peabody Welcomes Visitors
The Peabody Preparatory will hold an open house for its early childhood music program at 7 p.m. next Thursday in Room 308 at Maryland Hall, 801 Chase St., Annapolis. Eric Rasmussen, chairman of the early childhood music department, will discuss the mission of the program, which teaches children 8 and younger to play musical instruments. Parents will be able to meet teachers, learn about the curriculum and receive registration materials. The event is free. Help From Salvation Army
The Salvation Army of Annapolis and Southern Anne Arundel County will accept holiday assistance applications for food, toys and clothing from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. today and tomorrow at the Salvation Army Community Center at 351 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis.
Applicants must show identification, including proof of age and Social Security cards for all people listed on each application, all household monthly expenses and proof of a current address. People receiving assistance from other agencies are not eligible for holiday assistance from the Salvation Army. For information, call 410-263-4091.
Gift Shop Open House
Object, a home and gift store, will host an open house from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the store, 177 West St. in Annapolis. Dot Hewitt, the new owner, will be at the store to assist with gifts for the holiday season. She will serve hot cider and pumpkin bread.
