AARP Tax-Aide, a volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service, needs volunteers to electronically complete and file 2005 federal and state income tax forms. The Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods needs volunteers to sort and pack food donations for its Thanksgiving food drive. Volunteers will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving day at the center, 2310 Colts Neck Rd. The packed food will then be delivered to Reston Interfaith to be distributed to needy area families. The Jewish Social Service Agency's Resettlement Program needs volunteer tutors to teach English to immigrants from the former Soviet Union so they can understand and speak enough English to pass the U.S. naturalization test and achieve citizenship. Annandale Christian Community for Action needs individuals, families, classes, organizations and businesses to adopt a family at Thanksgiving and/or Christmas.
