Capuco Consulting Services of Annapolis has developed a Web site,, to educate middle school students about oceans and the Chesapeake Bay. Students can track the around-the-world Volvo Ocean Race and compete to predict the time the first sailboat will cross the finish line in Baltimore. To make their predictions, students will study weather, tides and currents, aerodynamics, and geography. The site's content was developed by a partnership of the Maryland State Department of Education, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Consortium for Oceanographic Research and Education, the Maryland Science Center, the Living Classrooms Foundation and NASA.

St. Andrew's United Methodist Day School is hosting its 10th annual school auction, with the theme of "Mardi Gras for Fellowship," from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Annapolis Elks Lodge, 91 Northwest St., Annapolis.
