U-Md. Transfer Program

Prince George's Community College and the University of Maryland are partners in a dual admissions program for eligible students. Beginning next fall, Prince George's Community College students who complete an associate's degree and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 will qualify for the Maryland Transfer Advantage Program. The university has a similar partnership with Montgomery College. Prince George's students who are a part of the school's honors program will be eligible to receive financial support to attend the University of Maryland through designated scholarships. Hall of Fame Internships

The National Baseball Hall of Fame is accepting applications for its 2006 Frank and Peggy Steel Internship Program. The internships will expose participants to baseball and museum operations in the collections, education, membership and research departments. Interns will take part in career seminars and will complete public speaking, research and writing assignments as part of the program. Applications are due Jan. 31.
