HIGHLIGHTS: Eighth-graders Warren Pumphrey, Mo Nalley, Joe Morotti, Bryan Gilliam, Connor Toomey, Austin Baldea, Chloe Constants, Megan Williams and Tommy Eliason went out with a win in their last soccer game played for the Bulldogs. The victory gave St. Martin's a 7-5-3 record, one of their best in recent years. Pumphrey scored off an assist from Nalley, and Morotti had five saves in goal. He finished with seven shutouts for the season.

Running

Anne Arundel Community College's 17th annual 5K Turkey Trot and One-Mile Jaunt will be begin at noon Wednesday, at Siegert Field on the Arnold campus, 101 College Pkwy.

Turkeys will be awarded to the fastest runners and those who most accurately predict their finish times. Pies will be awarded for second place in most categories.

Registration is $18 for individual entries and $30 for doubles teams. Long-sleeved T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 70 registrants for the 5K race. The one-mile jaunt has a $7 entry fee, and participants receive short-sleeve T-shirts. Entry forms are available online at www.aacc.edu/physed/turkeytrot.cfm.

The 5K race begins and ends at the stadium track and follows a moderate hilly, well-marked course around the campus perimeter. Fastest time categories include individual fastest time male/female; combined doubles team; younger than 15; AACC student or employee male/female; AACC student or employee combined doubles team; and closest to predicted time for individual male and female runners and doubles team.
