Emissions Station Opens

A vehicle emissions inspection station has opened in Purcellville to serve residents of western Loudoun County.

The Virginia Regional Transit office at 109 N. Bailey Lane began offering emissions tests Friday. It will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vehicles must pass the emissions test to be registered in Virginia.

Officials hope eventually to make the VRT office a one-stop processing center for state vehicle requirements, easing congestion at emissions stations and Department of Motor Vehicle offices in the eastern part of the county.
