HOMICIDES

CORCORAN ST., 1800 block, 9 a.m. Nov. 17. Patrick Carter, 29, of an unknown address, was found in the driver's side of a parked vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:35 a.m.

ROBBERIES

BENNING RD., 1600 block, 5:45 p.m. Nov. 16. A male with a knife robbed a female in an office.

BENNING RD., 2100 block, 5 p.m. May 15. A gunman tried to rob a pedestrian, then fled empty-handed when the victim said he had no cash.

BENNING RD., 2400 block, 3:37 p.m. Nov. 12. Three people at a bus stop assaulted and robbed a male of a cell phone and a wallet containing cash.

BENNING RD., 4400 block, 1:25 p.m. Nov. 16. A male took cash from an open cash register at a restaurant, then fled in a vehicle.

BLADENSBURG RD., 3000 block, 6:05 p.m. Nov. 16. A male robbed a male pedestrian of property.

BRENTWOOD RD., 1200 block, 10 p.m. Nov. 11. Two males robbed a female pedestrian of a purse containing personal documents.

D ST., 1800 block, 11:25 p.m. Nov. 12. A male grabbed a deliveryman in a vehicle by the neck and demanded cash. The victim accelerated, dragging the assailant briefly until he let go and fell to the street.

E ST., 700 block, 5:56 p.m. Nov. 16. A male assaulted and robbed a female motorist of property from her vehicle.

EASTERN AVE., 5600 block, 10 p.m. Nov. 16. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a male pedestrian of a cell phone, then fled in a vehicle.

FLORIDA AVE., 1-99 block, 7:55 p.m. Nov. 17. Two males at a service station assaulted and robbed a male of cash.

GRANT ST., 4000 block, 8:47 p.m. Nov. 11. A gunman and two male accomplices forced a pedestrian to the ground and robbed him of cash and bubble gum.

QUEEN ST., 1100 block, 4:45 p.m. Nov. 13. A gunman in a vehicle ordered a female motorist to hand over keys. The gunman and a male accomplice fled in the victim's vehicle.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 500 block, 2:25 p.m. Nov. 14. A gunman ordered a motorist from his vehicle, then drove away in it.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1900 block, 5:25 a.m. Nov. 17. A male demanded cash from a store employee, then fled empty-handed.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 3000 block, 9:45 p.m. Nov. 11. Two gunmen robbed two pedestrians of a purse containing cash, personal documents, keys to a vehicle and credit cards, then fled in the vehicle.

SHERIFF RD., 4600 block, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15. A gunman and two male accomplices robbed a pedestrian of a cell phone and his shoes. Three 15-year-olds were arrested.

FIRST ST., 1000 block, 1:37 a.m. Nov. 11. A gunman got out of a vehicle and ordered a motorist to get out of his vehicle, then drove away in it with two accomplices.

EIGHTH ST., 5100 block, 1:36 a.m. Nov. 16. A gunman and a male accomplice robbed a person in a vehicle of a backpack containing clothes. The victim was shot in the leg.

14TH STREET AND MARYLAND AVENUE, 3:45 a.m. Nov. 12. A gunman robbed a pedestrian of a bag, then shot him when he tried to flee.

22ND ST., 900 block, 11:39 p.m. Nov. 15. Two females and a male entered an apartment, assaulted a female resident and demanded medication. The resident refused and the assailants fled empty-handed.

44TH ST., 1000 block, 3 p.m. Nov. 15. A DVD player was stolen from a residence entered by forcing a front door.

HOMICIDES

7TH ST., 5800 block, 9:30 p.m., Nov. 19. Antoine Womack, 24, of the 6000 block of North Dakota Avenue NE, was found in the driver's seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C. Medical Examiner's office where he was pronounced dead.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

29TH ST., 2700 block, 11:20 p.m. Nov. 10. A sexual assault occurred on the sidewalk. A few minutes later, in the 2800 block of Woodley Rd., a sexual assault occurred on the street. A man, 19, was charged in connection with both crimes.

ROBBERIES

ALLISON ST., 1400 block, 7:45 p.m. Nov. 16. A man on a sidewalk snatched cash from a male receiving money from a friend.

CALIFORNIA ST., 1800 block, 9:11 p.m. Nov. 11. Two male teenagers asked a pedestrian for cash, then attacked him. The assailants fled empty-handed.

CARROLL ST., 100 block, 4:45 p.m. Nov. 17. A gunman jumped out of a car in a parking lot, displayed a badge, and robbed a male of property.

CENTER ST., 3500 block, 8:50 p.m. Nov. 15. A man snatched a chain with a cross from a male pedestrian.

FORT STEVENS DR., 1400 block, 6:33 p.m. Nov. 12. A man asked a pedestrian for change, then displayed a gun and announced a robbery. No further information was available from police.

GEORGIA AVE., 2000 block, 6:35 p.m. Nov. 11. A male grabbed a pedestrian and robbed him of a wallet and cash, then fled with another male.

GEORGIA AVE., 2300 block, 3:20 a.m. Nov. 17. A gunman robbed a fast-food restaurant of property from a safe.

GEORGIA AVE., 3300 block, 7:30 to 7:40 a.m. Nov. 12. Two men beat a male pedestrian and took a cell phone and cash.

GIRARD ST., 1400 block, 12:45 a.m. Nov. 14. A gunman took jewelry from a female as she walked out of her apartment. The assailant fled in a vehicle with another man.

H ST., 900 block, 8:45 p.m. Nov. 16. Two males grabbed a female pedestrian from behind and fled with a purse.

K ST., 500 block, 12:05 p.m. Nov. 15. Two masked males robbed a liquor store of cash and a wallet, then fled in a car.

K ST., 1200 block, 4:05 p.m. Nov. 16. A man robbed a bank.

KALORAMA RD., 1900 block, 10:33 p.m. Nov. 12. Three men threw a pedestrian to the ground and fled with the victim's wallet.

KANSAS AVE., 4000 block, 9:25 p.m. Nov. 11. A male teenager hit a pedestrian with a gun and demanded cash. The victim had no money and the assailant fled with another male teenager. The victim was treated at a hospital.

MARION AND Q STREETS, 7:15 p.m. Nov. 14. A group of male teenagers took a bag and a cell phone from a female pedestrian. The victim was struck once in the face.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1700 block, 12:05 a.m. Nov. 14. A man punched a pedestrian, slammed him into a parked vehicle, and took his wallet. The victim lost consciousness and later awoke in a hospital.

MOUNT PLEASANT STREET AND PARK ROAD, 12:40 a.m. Nov. 15. A car stopped near a pedestrian. A passenger got out of the vehicle, robbed the pedestrian, and got back in the vehicle, which sped away.

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 4000 block, 6:50 p.m. Nov. 16. A male accompanied by a child hit a pedestrian and demanded cash. The pedestrian refused and the assailant fled empty-handed.

O ST., 900 block, 4:45 p.m. Nov. 13. Two male teenagers attacked a pedestrian and took her purse and work clothes. Except for a cell phone, the stolen property was recovered.

OGLETHORPE ST., 600 block, 10:34 p.m. Nov. 15. A fare robbed a cab driver at gunpoint.

P ST., 1600 block, 12:40 a.m. Nov. 12. Two men robbed a pedestrian of her purse, cash, keys, identification, bank cards and a cell phone.

PRINCETON PL., 700 block, 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13. A male grabbed a pedestrian while another man took the victim's wallet.

RHODE ISLAND AVE., 900 block, Nov. 12. A male forced a pedestrian to the ground and took her purse. He fled with two accomplices.

SWANN ST., 1400 block, 8:05 p.m. Nov. 11. A man robbed a female pedestrian.

WEBSTER ST., 1400 block, 6:50 p.m. Nov. 12. A gunman told a motorist to get out of her car. She got out, taking her child with her. The assailant and a male accomplice fled in the victim's car.

WISCONSIN AVE., 2100 block, 3:26 a.m. Nov. 13. A man robbed a restaurant of cash after holding a knife against an employee's chest.

FIRST AND O STREETS, 11:15 p.m. Nov. 11. A gunman ordered two people out of a parked car, then drove away in it with a male accomplice.

FIRST AND M STREETS, 2:50 p.m. Nov. 17. The victim of a robbery in an alley flagged down police, who saw four teenagers fleeing the scene and caught one of them. A man, 19, was charged with robbery.

FIFTH ST., 5500 block, 4 p.m. Nov. 17. About a dozen people beat a scooter rider. A male teenager took the scooter.

SIXTH AND K STREETS, 1:50 a.m. Nov. 11. Three males got in a car stopped at a light, forced the driver out, and drove away in it.

EIGHTH AND R STREETS, 7:45 p.m. Nov. 14. Two males punched and robbed a male pedestrian.

NINTH AND R STREETS, 8:35 p.m. Nov. 14. A male teenager took credit cards from a pedestrian. Two male accomplices beat the victim.

NINTH AND U STREETS, 3:19 a.m. Nov. 13. Two men robbed a male pedestrian. Two men, 27 and 19, were arrested.

NINTH ST., 1300 block, 11:30 a.m. Nov. 12. Two males grabbed a pedestrian's purse. During a struggle, an assailant implied that he had a gun. The victim released the purse and the assailants fled with an accomplice.

11TH ST., 1200 block, 1:45 a.m. Nov. 17. During an attempted robbery, a male cut another male with a knife.

14TH AND NEWTON STREETS, 8:45 p.m. Nov. 13. Two men attacked a male pedestrian and tried to take property. The victim screamed for police. A man, 21, was arrested.

14TH ST., 1200 block, 2 a.m. Nov. 16. A male choked a female pedestrian and pushed her to the ground. He fled with property.

15TH AND V STREETS, 6:40 p.m. Nov. 12. A male hit another male walking a dog and fled with a wallet.

18TH ST., 2400 block, 6:40 p.m. Nov. 13. A man grabbed a purse from the floor in a specialty store and fled the premises.

18TH ST., 2400 block, 12:07 a.m. Nov. 17. Two people attacked a male pedestrian and took a cell phone and a hat. A 26-year-old man and another person were arrested.

19TH STREET AND COLUMBIA ROAD, 4:30 a.m. Nov. 12. A male with a knife demanded a wallet from a pedestrian, who pushed the assailant away and fled. Another male with a gun robbed a second pedestrian of a wallet.

20TH ST., 1600 block, 8 p.m. Nov. 14 to 12:50 a.m. Nov. 15. A woman bumped into a female pedestrian. The pedestrian later discovered that her purse containing a passport and a credit card was missing.

CONNECTICUT AVE., 4300 block, 7:15 p.m. Nov. 14 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 15. A liquor store office entered by forcing a door was ransacked. Nothing was reported missing.

GARFIELD ST., 4400 block, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 12. Jewelry was taken from a home entered through an unlocked door.

HARRISON ST., 4500 block, 7:45 a.m. Nov. 12 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 15. A bicycle was taken from a garage entered by breaking a door.

LAMONT ST., 1700 block, 4:30 a.m. Nov. 16. A home was entered through an unlocked basement door. The intruder gathered several items together, but fled empty-handed after being confronted by the owner's dog.

LANIER PL., 1700 block, 12:30 to 7:15 a.m. Nov. 17. A laptop computer was taken from an occupied home.

MOUNT PLEASANT ST., 3100 block, 4:23 a.m. Nov. 17. A 19-year-old man forced a bedroom window at an acquaintance's apartment, then assaulted her.

NEW JERSEY AVE., 1600 block, 3:45 p.m. Nov. 17. A home was entered by forcing bars on a rear window. A man was seen taking a laptop computer, a digital camera, a jacket, a bag and other property.

O ST., 3100 block, 5:26 a.m. Nov. 13. A man entered a home through an unlocked back door. He fled when confronted by an occupant.

O ST., 3600 block, 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. Nov. 14. Two laptop computers and a digital camera were taken from a home.

P ST., 2400 block, 11 p.m. Nov. 13 to 7:30 a.m. Nov. 14. A TV, a digital camera and a cell phone were taken from an occupied home entered through an unlocked door. A car was stolen.

Q ST., 1900 block, 3:30 to 10 a.m. Nov. 15. Property was taken from a restaurant entered by forcing a front door.

Q ST., 1900 block, 9:30 p.m. Nov. 14 to 6 a.m. Nov. 15. Property was taken from a bakery entered by pushing in plywood covering a rear window.

R ST., 220 block, 8 p.m. Nov. 11 to 0:30 a.m. Nov. 12. A laptop computer, three watches and a cell phone were taken from a home entered by forcing a rear window.

SHERMAN AVE., 2900 block, 2:01 to 3:10 a.m. Nov. 16. A man and a woman entered a home by breaking doors. Police found a woman hiding in a first-floor bathroom but could not capture a man who ran out the back door. A woman, 45, was arrested.

VARNUM ST., 800 block, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 to 7 a.m. Nov. 17. Power tools were taken from a home entered through a first-floor window.

WISCONSIN AVE., 4000 block, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 to 6:45 a.m. Nov. 16. A lock to a day spa door was injected with a blue substance in an attempt to make an impression of the lock cylinder.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5200 block, 6:40 a.m. Nov. 16. A male entered a restaurant by breaking a window. He fled empty-handed when confronted.

WISCONSIN AVE., 5300 block, 8 p.m. Nov. 11 to noon Nov. 12. Two laptop computers and a DVD burner were taken from an office.

EIGHTH ST., 400 block, 3:20 a.m. Nov. 14. A drug store was entered by prying a plywood board covering a broken window.

11TH ST., 1100 block, 12:01 to 4 a.m. Nov. 12. An office was entered by smashing glass in a door. The office was ransacked.

13TH ST., 3500 block, 10:01 p.m. Nov. 12. A male entered a home, demanded cash, fired a shot into the floor, and fled empty-handed.

17TH ST., 1500 block, 12:50 a.m. Nov. 13. A man entered a male acquaintance's apartment with a key. He kicked in a door and shoved the resident, then fled.

24TH ST., 900 block, 7 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. A laptop computer and four credit cards were taken from an occupied, unlocked dorm room.

EAST CAPITOL ST., 5300 block, 7:55 p.m. Nov. 16. Thomas Young, 31, of the 1100 block of 16th Street NE, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to the Prince George's Hospital Center and pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 17.

ALABAMA AVE., 1200 block, 10:05 p.m. Nov. 17. A gunman tried to rob a pedestrian of a purse but fled when the victim resisted.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 1900 block, 11:13 p.m. Nov. 12. A gunman and a male accomplice took a purse containing a wallet and cell phone from a woman getting into a vehicle.

MORRIS RD., 1200 block, 1:53 a.m. Nov. 13. Two males assaulted and robbed a female pedestrian of jewelry.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 600 block, 12:01 a.m. Nov. 17. Two men robbed two pedestrians of property. Two men, ages 44 and 49, were arrested.

CONGRESS ST., 1200 block, 10:50 a.m. Nov. 10. Four males entered a residence. Arrests were made.

I ST., 1200 block, 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17. A woman, 24, called 911 and said she was locked out of her residence and needed to reach her medication. The responders forced their way in and encountered a resident who said the caller did not live there. An arrest was made.

JASPER RD., 2800 block, 11 p.m. Nov. 16. A male entered a residence through a front door and assaulted a female resident.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. AVE., 2700 block, 2 p.m. Nov. 11 to 5:45 a.m. Nov. 14. Copper wiring was stolen from a construction site.

NASH PL., 3000 block, 8 a.m. Nov. 11 to 12:01 a.m. Nov. 12. A digital music player was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a kitchen window.

GALVESTON PL., 1-99 block, 1 a.m., Nov. 1. Kevin Brown, 43, of the 1-99 block of Galveston Pl. SW, was found with a gunshot wound to the body. He was taken to Howard University Hospital. He died from his injuries on Nov. 18.

ROBBERIES

D.C. VILLAGE LANE, 1-99 block, 3:45 p.m. Nov. 11. A male argued with a person at a construction site about back wages, then punched the person and took a cell phone.

M AND SOUTH CAPITOL STREETS, 11 p.m. Nov. 7. A motorist who said he had stopped his vehicle to give money to a homeless person was pulled from his vehicle and robbed by two males.

N ST., 300 block, 9:50 p.m. Nov. 17. A man robbed a male pedestrian at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

DARRINGTON ST., 1-99 block, 10 p.m. Nov. 15 to 7 a.m. Nov. 16. Four tires, four rims and a leaf blower were taken from a garage entered by forcing the door.

D.C. VILLAGE LANE, 1-99 block, 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 15. A laptop computer was taken from a government building entered by removing an air-conditioning unit from an office window.
