Catoctin Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Christmas-tree fundraiser the next two weekends -- Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The locally grown, fresh-cut white pine, Scotch pine and Norwegian spruce, donated by a member of the congregation, will be sold for $40 each. 24-inch double-sided decorated wreaths are $30, and gift-wrapped apple butter is $5 a pint. Ashburn Presbyterian Church will hold a church-wide Christmas story program on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The evening includes the story of the birth of Jesus and Christmas carol singing led by the children's choirs. Dessert and fellowship will conclude the program. Those attending are invited to dress as characters in the Christmas story: Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, angels, wise men, the innkeeper or the animals.
