Christopher B. Nelson, president of St. John's College in Annapolis, was honored by the Rosenbach Museum and Library of Philadelphia for his dedication to literature and teaching. Nelson has been president of the college since 1991. He graduated from the college in 1970 and earned a law degree at the University of Utah.

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra appointed 14 new musicians to the orchestra roster. The new members are: violinists Mateusz Wolski, Najin Kim, Christian Tremblay, Yumi Cho and Chag-Hee Lee; violists Arvin Gopal and Laura Routt; cellists Karena Moeller, Natalie Naquin and Todd Thiel; bassists Colin Chatfield and Reg Lamb; and clarinetists Marlena Burghardt and Kathleen Mulcahy.

Sushant Sidh has been named the governmental relations officer for Anne Arundel County. He will serve as the liaison to the County Council, the General Assembly and other policy-making and legislative bodies. Sidh earned a bachelor of science degree from Washington University in St. Louis and is pursuing an MA in public communications at American University in Washington, D.C.
