ADULT SOFTBALL LEAGUES, registration is open for men's, women's and co-rec softball leagues, which play in county parks; fees include games, officials, game balls, sanction fees, awards, field reservations and lights; deadline to register is March 16; play begins the week of April 15. CHERRY BLOSSOM CRUISES,for age 55 and older, a trip to Washington for a Potomac River cruise aboard the Odyssey; on-board entertainment and three-course lunch included; cruise views include cherry blossom trees and monuments. FOOTBALL COACHES NEEDED,volunteer head coaches and assistant coaches are needed for the Howard County TERPS (Teamwork, Excellence, Respect and Perseverance to achieve Success) Football and Cheer organization and the Columbia Steelers Football and Cheer organization; coaches must be prepared to attend off-season meetings, parent orientation and clinics. LOCAL LEGACY PROJECT,the Howard County Conservancy seeks friends and former students of Ruth and Frances Brown to share memories and memorabilia of the schoolteachers whose farm is now the home of the conservancy. 10 a.m.-noon March 3 or March 7, the Howard County Conservancy, 10520 Old Frederick Rd., Woodstock.
