A 25-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested as he reported to work at D.C. Children's Hospital yesterday morning on charges that he killed a woman and wounded a man, both of whom were living with him at the time.

Police said Marsol B. Whitlow, a lab technician at the hospital, was arrested at 3:10 a.m., about a half hour after an all-points alert was sent out for his arrest.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at Whitlow's home, 3617 Edgewood Rd., about 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police said they found David Klym, 27, who had been shot in the neck, lying in a first-floor hallway, and Susan Lee Lundy, 27, who was shot in the back of the head, lying in a first-floor bedroom.

Klym told police he was awakened by an argument in Lundy's bedroom. Klym said he was shot in the first floor hallway and then heard shots in Lundy's bedroom.

Lundy was taken to Suburban Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Klym was admitted to the hospital and is listed in stable condition, police said.

Whitlow was being held in the D.C. jail, according to police.
