A 68-year-old Washington woman was killed and two teen-age Kensington girls critically injured yesterday when they were struck by a truck while standing on a curb at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Saul Road in Kensington, Montgomery County police reported

Police said the pedestrians were struck after a sedan, traveling north on Connecticut Avenue and attempting to make a left turn on to Saul Road, collided with a lumber company truck heading south on Connecticut. As a result of the impact, the truck ran over the southwest curb of the intersection and hit the pedestrians, police said.

The dead woman was identified as Geneve Anderson, a domestic worker who lived at 119 35th St. SE.

Two students from Holy Redeemer School in Kensington, Tiffany Lynn Scott, 13, of 9311 Chenaute Dr., and Jennifer Marie Fielding, 14, of 9809 bexhill dr., were reported in critical condition last night at Suburban Hospital.

The driver of the truck, Richard Allen Auldridge, 25, of 14116 Castle Blvd., Silver Spring, was treated for minor injuries at Suburban and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

The driver of the sedan, John Nolan, 69, of 4007 Dresden St., Kensington, also was treated for minor injuries.
