Today's schedule of events for Pope John Paul II's visit to the United States is as follows:
8 a.m. -- Pope will attend morning prayer with nuns and priests at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
8:50 a.m. -- Pope leaves St. Patrick's en route to Madison Square Garden. He will be traveling in a motorcade.
9 a.m. -- Pope addresses 19,000 schoolchildren at Madison Square Garden.
10:45 a.m. -- Pope arrives at Battery Park located on the southern end of Manhattan for a special address to New York and the nation.
12:15 p.m. -- Pope makes farewell address at Shea Stadium.
1:30 p.m. -- Pope departs from La-Guardia Marine Terminal for flight to Philadelphia.
2 p.m. -- Pope arrives in Philadelphia and is met by Cardinal John Krol and other officials. He goes to Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul. After a brief prayer he has lunch and a short rest. Pope then attends private reception there.
4 p.m. -- Pope celebrates mass at Logan Circle and departs for Cardinal Krol's residence for dinner.
6 p.m. - Pope has dinner with Cardinal Krol.
9 p.m. -- Pope visits St. Charles Seminary.
