TUESDAY 10 a.m.: Ceremonial welcome at the White House, including full military honors accorded state visitors. Brief remarks by both President Reagan and Gorbachev. 10:30 a.m.: Reagan and Gorbachev go to the Oval Office for a 90-minute meeting, the first meeting of the summit. Noon: Gorbachev leaves the White House. 1:45 p.m.: Reagan and Gorbachev meet in the East Room of the White House for a treaty-signing ceremony. Remarks will follow. 2:30 p.m.: Talks continue in the Oval Office. Late afternoon: Gorbachev returns to the Soviet Embassy for meetings with U.S. academicians and others from private life. 7 p.m.: Reagan hosts a White House state dinner. Pianist Van Cliburn will perform.

WEDNESDAY 10:30 a.m.: Talks continue in the Oval Office. 1 p.m.: Shultz hosts a luncheon for Gorbachev at the State Department. 4:30 p.m.: Gorbachev meets with a group of U.S. publishers at the Soviet Embassy. 7 p.m.: Gorbachev hosts a reciprocal dinner at the Soviet Embassy.

THURSDAY 9 a.m.: Vice President Bush meets privately with Gorbachev. 9:15 a.m.: Bush and Gorbachev have breakfast with academicians, scientists and industrialists. 10:30 a.m.: Talks between Reagan and Gorbachev continue in the Oval Office. Noon: Working luncheon at the White House. 2 p.m.: Departure ceremony at the White House. 3 p.m.: Gorbachev meets with U.S. business leaders at the Soviet Embassy. 5 p.m.: Gorbachev says farewell to embassy officials. 5:30 p.m: Gorbachev holds a news conference at the embassy. 7:20 p.m.: Gorbachev's motorcade departs for Andrews Air Force Base. Bush attends departure ceremony. 8 p.m.: Gorbachev departs.
