A July 18 Metro article incorrectly reported the number of beds at the Army's DeWitt hospital at Fort Belvoir and the first name of the commanding officer. The hospital has 46 beds. The commanding officer is Col. Eileen B. Malone.

The Bavarian brass band Alte Kameraden will perform from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fort Hunt Park in Fairfax County. The time was listed incorrectly in the community events calendar of the July 18 Fairfax Extra.

A July 10 article incorrectly reported the Internet address of the Museum of the Americas. The correct address is www.museamericas.org.


A July 17 article about an apology issued by the Irish Republican Army was accompanied by a photograph showing damage caused by a bombing that killed 29 people in Omagh, Northern Ireland, in 1998. This bombing was carried out by a splinter group calling itself the Real IRA, which has refused to abide by a cease-fire. The political affiliate of the mainstream IRA has condemned the bombing.
