An article in the Nov. 30 Style section, about a Los Angeles criminal case involving a prominent private investigator, said Los Angeles Times reporter Anita Busch had "spent the summer holed up in fancy hotels at Times expense" after receiving a threat against her. Busch and her editor at the Times say she spent only one night at a hotel, and stayed at other locations afterward.
