* Cpl. Nicanor Alvarez, 22, of San Bernardino, Calif.; 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Died Aug. 21 from injuries recieved in Anbar province.

* Sgt. Jason Cook, 25, of Okanogan, Wash.; 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Died Aug. 21 from injuries received in Anbar.

* Lance Cpl. Seth Huston, 19, of Perryton, Tex.; 2nd Battalion, 1st Maine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Died Aug. 21 in Anbar.

* Pfc. Nachez Washalanta, 21, of Bryan, Okla.; 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, Calif. Died Aug. 21 from injuries received in Anbar.

* Cpl. Christopher Belchik, 30, of Brighton, Ill.; 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Lejeune, N.C. Died Aug. 22 in Babil Province.

* 2nd Lt. Matthew R. Stovall, 25, of Horn Lake, Miss; Army National Guard 367th Maintenance Company, 298th Corps Support Battalion based in Philadelphia, Miss. Died Aug. 22 in Mosul.

All troops were killed in action unless otherwise indicated.
