M. Ronald Lipman, formerly a principal in the firm of McCurdy-Lipman and Associates in Baltimore, has formed the firm of Lipman, Frizzel & Mitchell, which will specialize in real estate appraising, counselling and market research in Maryland and neighboring states. The office is in Towson, Md.
Aluminum remodeling will be discussed Thursday at a joint meeting of the Maryland Improvement Contractors and the Metropolitan Washington Home Improvement Council. The session will be held at the Loyola Conference Center at Columbia, Md.
A group of visiting Russian engineers recently toured Alexandria House, the 23-story luxury apartment condominium in the Old Town area of Alexandria. Jack Studnicky, agent for the owner (Chase Manhattan Bank) conducted the tour of the completed building. A new opening of the recently foreclosed building is scheduled April 23, but selling is under way in the interim.
The Wyatt building, 777 14th St. NW, was sold recently for a price reported to be in excess of $2.8 million, according to Barnes, Morris & Pardoe. The building was sold by the Virginia Hotel Limited Partnership to the Wyatt Building Limited Partnership. The new ownership group includes members of the Gambrill family, which also owns the downtown Investment and Longfellow buildings.
